A cheaper alternative would be to get a road crank and ask the shop to lock the FD such that you can only shift up and down

What he mean is your original crankset is triple speed. So when you change to a road crankset which is double speed, you can adjust the FD such that it moves only for 2 speed.

Currently my bike is using shimano 105. Looking to replace it, but it's a very old bike >10 years. So thinking of keeping the body, and change the others. Resonable price will do, not ready to get the best parts.

The 105 now is 11 speed. Like wat Snoob said. you will need to change your wheelset as well. Not cheap at all.

There's a shop nearby my place selling a Look 386i frameset for $300 USD. The shops been there for ages, but i also dunwan tio con. later buy, ride half way go kaboom. How ah

the only way to do so is to xray the entire frame through an x ray machine. the only places that has it is aircraft area.

take torchlight and shine through the frame, if you can see light coming out from the other side, maybe you shouldnt buy the bike

You wont find prices on the webpage unless its an online shop. Most shop websites don't list prices unless they know that they are the cheapest in town. Updates on pages allow followers to view without them clicking on website. Fb msg is my form of communication with customers. So that why I decide to go without a website but booked the address. And most shop's website are outdated also. Reflects badly on the shop.
