i forget about the lock in my bike shopping list maybe just get cheapo one LOL
Must buy two. Cheap one is lock wheel to frame. Expensive one is lock frame to pole. Best is also get an alarm that detects vibration. Can consider a disk brake alarm.

Now the problem is weight.

locks with good security rating like those abus brand are usually heavy, hard to find one which are good and yet light

Never buy cheap locks you will regret it

Yes, never buy cheap locks!
No cheapo chain locks, no cheapo combination locks!
Get high quality, thick locks!
(Please recommend brands and where to buy)

If locking outside, remember to have your bike registered at police station.
You should take pictures of your bike too.
Park at places with CCTV, at least if stolen you should quickly make police report.

Bottomline, best to bring bike home though.

using road = bedok res -> 10kkj ave 10 all the way down to pasir ris dr12, (turn in at UMC / farmway) then auto can twiggle to lor halus dam, cross the bridge from there is punggol PCN riao

otherwise, use the pavement beside the road, very ulu one since no housing estate there :s13:

any u-lock is considered too troublesome already......

u-lock cant be cut, so the best bet is to pick it. Try to lock ur bike with the U-lock keyhole facing down and in an awkward position, anyone who wants to pick can train his core muscle gao gao :s13:

actually my bike quite cheapo, i go ntuc sometimes forgot to lock, come out still there :s13:
