but selection pretty meh ..

depends on weight and quality of tires.

i been using gp4000s for the past 4-5 years very few punctures.

i only get jelly legs when i ride my mini velo lol. if you scared back pain maybe you can get a bike which has a more lepak geometry

fastest route is via road.

go along still road, jalan eunos, hougang ave 3, then via upper serrangon road.

How much mileage can you get for each pair of GP4000s?

Am I right to say that if i don't have the stamina even a few thousands bike won't help me increase my average rolling speed?

depends on how fast youre currently riding
I dunno should I get race tires like GP4000s or racing/training tyres Continental 4 Seasons

i wouldnt classify gp4000s as a race tires, they are all rounders, i use them to race though, the true race tires is probably the supersonics.

Anybody can sprint and go fast.

But how long can you last?

A much better bicycle can slightly reduce the amount of energy required to maintain the high speed. But again.. how long can you last? :D

Just rode for 2 days consecutively and my butt is in pain now. Literally can feel the pain even when walking or sitting down. Can't bend down at ease as well.

What can I do to prevent this from happening again ? Does getting those bicycle tights really help?

You just have to cycle more regularly. The pain comes if you missed cycling for too long and started again...

Ha ha I actually improved by cycling on my heavy steel road bikes, weigh 10.2kg, go through seletar loop and all these. Then switch back to my carbon bike, really climb a lot faster.

I'm thinking of upgrading my Dahon Speed P8 from 8 speed to 20 speed.

01. FD
02. FD adapter
03. left and right shifters
04. Jagwire cable housing and cables
05. 39 teeth chainring

If I opt for 20 speed, add

06. 10 speed RD
07. 10 speed chain
08. 10 speed cassette

09. Shimano Deore V-brakes calipers and levers.

How much do you guys think it will cost, in Singapore? And also any idea/recommendations who can do it?

Thanks!

It's not good ethics to buy bike parts from online and give lbs

Its like you buy your own eggs and give carrot cake uncle to cook

That's common sense isn't it?

I'm not asking BRU or any bicycle shop in SG to do it.

Thanks! Am getting it upgraded in Malaysia. I'm just doing a cost comparison to see if it's worth making the trip.

some shops now realise their parts price can't fight with online, so also do installation service also for parts bought online. one of the lbs I go to even tell me they encourage customers to buy online and let them install cos online prices cheaper and they don't stock much parts. :o

So long as you pay the shop to do the work it shouldn't be a problem.
