hey all, trying to buy a foldable bike to use for exercising and also some kind of transport from point a to b (like hougang to punggol. this kind of distance)

exercising would be to replace part of my jogging regime. because my legs starting to suffer from too much jogging. need to cut down a bit. so wanna replace it with cycling.

any recommendations for foldable bikes?
I have currently narrowed down to 3 models.
Java Fit 16S
Dahon Horize
Tern Link N8

So judging from the 3 below, you can tell my budget is about $800 or so.

Which would you choose from above? if not any of the above, what would you recommend?
I'm currently leaning towards Java Fit though. cos it feels more value for money. and design looks pretty nice

What about warranty?
not too sure about java bikes. forgot to ask.

Tern and Dahon is about the same. 5 years warranty excluding wear and tear.
but Tern or Dahon has some 5 +5 year warranty thing...

Dahon should most likely be lifetime frame warranty if register online, not sure about Tern though.

Just my 2 cents with regards to the FIT16. My friend who rides a Fit16 just came over to my place a couple of weeks back.

Bike was making all sorts of creaking sounds, took apart the bike to check for cracks and luckily non was found. Slapped some grease onto the big joints and the creaking was reduced considerably.

However, when we tried pressing down on the main folding joint, you can actually see the bike flexing at the joint, like a "U" shape. We tried pressing down on my old Dahon speed and the bike didn't exhibit any flexing motion, so you might want to consider this, especially if you happen to be heavier in weight.

Woah ok thanks for the warning. Appreciate it. I'm not on the heavy side but still should on the safe side I guess. Lol.
Maybe I'll strike java off the list. I'm actually considering raising my budget for Dahon visc d18. But somehow I got a feeling my first bike probably shouldn't buy so ex.

Java is something i would avoid. Built quality seems mediocre. I rather get crius
