I just use my Finish Line 2-in-1 clean and lube spray. I think it's a dry lube but no real idea. Works very well.

Where to buy cheap car bicycle rack holders?

Bikes n Bites has a $120 or so one I think. Brand is Allen, can be folded to be very compact for storage. Cons is that it's on the heavy side. Would really recommend Saris, though. Pricing wise, per bike that the model can hold is $100++. E.g. Rack to hold one bike is $100+, holds two bikes = $200+ etc.

Best check which rack works with your car model too. Some may not work with boot spoilers (aero foils) etc.

If your mounted bike blocks your license plate, you'll also have to have another one made to hang so that it's visible and you won't get fined for having a blocked plate.

Felt like vomiting blood just now.

Sold a used bicycle rear rack to a buyer for $120. I didn't give two mounting bolts because I am using them to mount my own fender. I told seller to use his own fender mounting bolts to attach the rack to the frame. This is my mistake because I assume the mounting bolts should be the same since they used the same hole.

A few weeks later, the seller then replied the bolts cannot be used. I inquired further and he has no idea why it cannot be used. The bike mechanic just told him that. The bike mechanic also sells the same rack for $220, but i don't wish to speculate.

I assume its the bolt length that is too short for his applications. So I asked a bike expert and he measured the bolt on his own bicycle and gave me the dimensions. To be doubly sure, I even measured my own bolts/nuts/washer which match.. and then got a new set for him a few minutes ago.

Now he says he wants a refund. The reason he gave is that he said its too troublesome even though I am willing to mail the bolts/nuts/washer to him.

So will you refund if you were me?

I wouldn't.

1. It has already been weeks since the sale.
2. You've already provided him a solution.
3. If he doesn't want to accept the working, then...

I won't refund. You said it was sold to the buyer for a few weeks.
