Felt like vomiting blood just now.

Sold a used bicycle rear rack to a buyer for $120. I didn't give two mounting bolts because I am using them to mount my own fender. I told seller to use his own fender mounting bolts to attach the rack to the frame. This is my mistake because I assume the mounting bolts should be the same since they used the same hole.

A few weeks later, the seller then replied the bolts cannot be used. I inquired further and he has no idea why it cannot be used. The bike mechanic just told him that. The bike mechanic also sells the same rack for $220, but i don't wish to speculate.

I assume its the bolt length that is too short for his applications. So I asked a bike expert and he measured the bolt on his own bicycle and gave me the dimensions. To be doubly sure, I even measured my own bolts/nuts/washer which match.. and then got a new set for him a few minutes ago.

Now he says he wants a refund. The reason he gave is that he said its too troublesome even though I am willing to mail the bolts/nuts/washer to him.

So will you refund if you were me?
I don't think that reason is good enough for a refund... if you buy an item online, it doesn't matter if it fits.. once sold, considered sold and no refund unless it is spoilt.

Are there any lightweight full suspension foldies that are less than 1500? Am looking at Crius but weight not stated, and dunno whether this brand /product reliable or not.

Won't full suspension make the bike even heavier? Are you planning on doing mountain biking with it? Because if you are the derailleur is very close to the ground and therefore more liable to be damaged.

Not going trail. Just pcn, pavement and road. Trying to find a sweet spot in weight and price for the full suspension foldie.

Birdy... Rides like a full sized bike. My friend cycles Birdy at about 30-32kmh without breaking sweat. Joked and laughed while I was finding it hard to keep pace with him even though I am using 22" foldie. He uses carbon wheelset with 26-9 Capreo hub and cassette.

Or try looking at Taiwanese foldies like Ori and Omnipax.

I am going down to a bike shop to look at foldies. Which shop offers good service and have plenty of varieties to choose from?

My budget is still $1500 at most; ideally between $800 to $1000 unless I can justify the extra cost for quality.

Below are what I am looking for:
- lightweight around 10 to 12 kg
- 20" wheels
- 8 to 10 speed
- brand name is at least a Polygon, Crius, Java or better (Vert / Dahon)
- suspension (though not compelling)
- parts esp gears and rd must be upgradeable or at least already mid-range quality like Acera, Deore, 105.
- will ride on pcn, pavement and road. No trail.
- will learn bunny hop on it.

MBS My Bike Shop has quite a number of variety too. Went to the one at Mid View City. had lots of space for you to test ride.

I think u meant Tern... :s13:

Bunny hop on a mid frame folding bicycle?? :s22:

For Tern and Dahon if not wrong, should get at least 8spd so that future upgrade to the cassette is easier..

My Tern Verge P9 came with a Sora RD, i upgraded the 9spd cassette to a 10s, RD to a Shimano Saint, shifter to a Deore XT..

Anyone using FSIR SPin series? Any thoughts on it especially on the Spin 3 model?

I;m kind of like the design of the bike and went to try out one. it felt rigid unlike some of the other foldies I've tested.

Just before I jump into it.....

Er...not sure if it is a good idea to do bunny hop on a folding bike.
