What age is considered an old age for a fresh graduate? is graduating at 27 or 28 ok as afresh graduate.
Headhunter what's your view in the outlook of the logistics industry jobs in Singapore? What are deemed critical skills, experiences and certification for a Senior management position in a typical shipper mnc?
For a typical candidate holding a specialist logistics BBA and a general MBA with 16 years of relevant experience, what would be deemed as an acceptable market pay and what else can be used to enhance the candidate's portfolio attractiveness?

For temp jobs, assuming none/little work experience, how much is the hourly rate for o levels and diploma holders ?
Does work experience counts towards salary for temp jobs ?
No idea, i don't do temp jobs, but yes relevant experience does count towards salary for temp jobs (provided that the experience is hard to attain)
If you are applying for a temp job as a supermarket promoter for example, whether you have relevant work experience or not is not important as the salary will not increase even if you have prior experience
Oh, you don't do for temp job. Headhunter is one higher level than the recruitment manager ? Manager need handle temp de ?
Hi HH
I have 2 job offers from company A and B. I'm more keen on the company A job but B pays more. The thing is on the application form for company A they asked for expected salary and I put a conservative value and when they offered my the job it was the expected pay.
So is it possible to ask for 100 or 200 more from company A or will it piss them off and totally withdraw the job offer? And during the negotiation should I say that I have another job offer too or just not say it? I have no work experience btw. Thanks!
Hi HH,
I want a perm role, i'm a IT security specialist, this is my first full time job but its getting very boring here plus no progression and benefits / rewards totally suck, i'm a contractor now in MNC but payroll tagged under a agent. we dont have contract completion bonus even though i need to serve one year bond or AWS, CNY ANG BAO also dont have only have more work and get screw by client weekly. i really feel not motivated to work or put my 100% somemore ah, the pay i get and the responsibility i need to hold compare to my colleague who is degree holder and his scope is so much slack really sian
really lost man, i only have dip in IT... really dont feel like doing IT anymore because i find myself sick of doing routine jobs as in same old thing every week, nothing new or fresh i get bored easily.. jia lat leh =(
Well most of the time, if you expect X amount, a typical candidate will give X amount + few hundred (to buffer in case they give less, it will still be your expected amount)
It is possible, but if you are only negotiating for 100 or 200 more, they might possibly think you are very difficult to work with and will possibly pull the offer back. (because it is a small amount). If the amount is bigger then it is a different story.
Weigh the pros and cons of both company A and company B, see which one you prefer in terms of
1) Job scope
2) Immediate manager
3) Company profile
Because end of the day, if you perform well, companies will give increments even if you don't hit the 1 year mark possibly, and if you join company B, but you hate the 1) job or 2) manager, you will still leave the company even if the pay is higher.
