Did anyone use reservation service like "The World Keys" or Menulist before to reserve Japanese restaurants? Not sure if these are legit. Tried calling but couldnt get through.

I used omakase in my previous trip, https://omakase.in/en/

Will give this a try in my upcoming trip, https://pocket-concierge.jp/en if I cannot find the restaurant on omakase website. I noticed in pocket concierge the price of the same listing restaurant was slightly higher than omakase as that time I compared.

Thanks. Was actually hoping to try Hakushu but seems that they disabled their web reservation and I am having difficulties trying to get through on their phone. May just go for Yamanami. Welcome any other teppanyaki suggestion though if you have.

You have any concierge svs provided by your credit cards? I relied on Citi Concierge to do 1 of my food bookings in my trip 3 months ago.

I tried Ukai-tei at its Omotesando branch. A friend of mine in Japan helped me to make the reservation.

Over-tourism in Kyoto...

This is very real. In kawaguchiko, osaka, Tokyo. Can feel the difference pre-pandemic and now.

Due to this, can feel some part of the culture/experience is gone. Coz the locals change n adapt to these tourists. Some of whom don't even bother trying to read or listen when interacting with locals/doing things.

And this time, majority of the cause of it is not by the Chinese.

Child cards need to get the assistance from the station staff as they need to register child name/age for the card. I bought one pasmo card for my kid earlier. Am assuming the same procedures for other ic cards.

Pasmo Child and Suica Child no shortage so it's the regular 10 years validity and refresh when use..

Only Pasmo normal and Suica normal is not available for purchase now.
