Thanks all for the insights! Did you have to transfer to another terminal upon arrival, to catch the domestic flight? There's a possibility mine will arrive within the same terminal. Hopefully that saves some time.
Domestic always different terminal, I think. International to Domestic need exit immigration and collect luggage. Different system

SQ direct to new Chitose is around s$1100 return if you book early. If late then much more expensive.
i think only during winter months when there are sufficient demands. other seasons they still stopover at taipei & haneda

Qn: Are USB charging ports common in Japanese hotels (mostly businese hotels)? Or is it better to bring a power plug adaptor?

Depends. Sometimes, usually the more newly refurbished hotels have. Otherwise, if got, sometimes only got 1-2 at awkward areas. In such situations, I will use try to my powerbank for those 1-2 nights.

Is it recommended to drive in Osaka? Will be heading in July...

Will be there for 6 nights I'm looking to visit Kyoto as well, should I do day trip to Kyoto or stay in Kyoto for 2 nights?

I plan to do day trips to Nara, Kobe and Himeji if time permits. Since I'm doing these places, will it be too rush if I were to stay in Kyoto? Or shall I omit staying in Kyoto.

I might be looking to rent a JDM car from Omoshiro for a day to do a day trip drive on the above. Does anyone have any scenic roads in Osaka perhaps to drive around for a day?

Thanks in advance!

That's a lot of cities to cover. You'll need to list what attractions/places you're interested in.

Personally I don't see the need to drive in cities especially Osaka.

Kyoto is worth a few days for me. Friend on what kind of experience you want.

6 night, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, Himeiji, way too rush. I probably just do Osaka and Kyoto, or Osaka, Kobe and Himeji.

Thanks for the reply. I will most likely take Osaka as a based and travel out to Kobe and Himeji if not solely Kyoto. Don't think I will be staying overnight as I have accoms booked in Osaka

I also used Osaka as my base and did trips out to Kyoto, Nara, Himeji, Kobe, and Arima. You can view my thread [GPGT] Osaka, Kansai Region - Sep 2019 for inspiration on itinerary if you'd like.

Should I rent a car to do those days trips? Or just take the train as its easier and no need stress for parking. In that case I may rent a car in Osaka for maybe one day to drive a scenic route shared by a bro above
