Depends on what you mean by cover. Half day in reach is doable.

Be ready to be flexible when you get there. If you enjoy the area or not spending more or less time is fine. Don't need to stress.

You can view the suggested itin to get some ideas and start early. Arashiyama not too difficult to connect to eastern kyoto via train.

Anybody know why 22-29 this month Fujiko.F.Fujio Museum all time slots not available? Sibei sian, arriving on 27th night, was plannin to go on 28 or 29 as going for day trips with 3 days wide pass after these dates, now only can wait for 20th for the 1st half of Nov tickets to be release then can adjust accordingly.

I believe that period is where most japanese will have 1 week or more off. Will be very crowded everywhere.
