Hi YamahaSG,

is there a way to enhance surround effect on the left side from YSP projector? My left wall is a bit further from the listening position as compared to right wall. So most of the time i can only hear surround sound from right wall.

Look for toslink or fibre optic cable.

Best to order online if cost is a concern - but will need to wait for shipping.

Btw, I have a spare cable which I'm not using if you need one urgently.

Thks for your advise, I had seen that kind of cable at my neighbourhood hardware shop. Retails at $12.90 for 2m. However I am unsure whether the cable head fits the digital audio output. I need to be sure before purchasing to avoid waste. Can confirm?

I think should be correct, not many types of optical cable for audio... And I doubt neighborhood hardware shops sell fibre optic cables for networks...

Best if the shop allows u to return if the cable is incorrect.

Thanks for your help. I solved the issue. I used a RCA cable to connect cos the TV do not have a optical output.

You could try the "Channel Level" Adjustment or "Image Location" Adjustment.

Hi I've been looking at the Yamaha soundbar either the yht-s400 or ysp-2200. I have a Samsung LED smart Tv (not so smart IMO but never mind). I've been watching movies and am frustrated that during the dialogue the volume is soft so I turn it up. Then the super hero appears and suddenly I have to scramble for the remote to turn it down because of the booming bass [I currently use the Bose Companion 5 as my system].

Question is: with the Yamaha soundbar will I be able to hear the conversations and not scramble for the remote when there is sudden explosion in the movie?

Another question: what's the most compelling reason for me to get the ysp-2200 instead of the yht-s400?

Final question: what's are the RRP for the YSP-2200 and YHTS400? And where can I get them?

Ok, really final question: any CNY promotions?

HN advert in the newspapers over the weekend states that it is on offer at $888 - best to call up the branches to check.

There's the ClearVoice feature - seems to work okay on my YAS-101. But haven't tried it on action movies yet.
