saw it at $1398 for 750GB hdd at Funan roadshow last weekend.
Is this a reasonable price?

cpu is i5 series
didnt take note of the battery cell type.

that is the standard price of retail set, should come w 8 cells battery, 4GB ram & 2 years warranty. only those sets redeem fr Starhub c/w 4 cells battery, 2 GB ram & 1 year warranty.

Hi, will like to ask what is the difference between U36J & U36JC?? When to SL this afternoon and found out most of them are selling U36J without the "C". Also seen from Youtube that it have the fingerprint reader on this lappy but this afternoon go SL all don't have leh. :s11:

As I understand the HDD is SATA-2 500GB (Starhub set).

I've a spare C300 128GB SSD which I initially intended to install into the U36JC.
However, if it does not support SATA-3 then I might be looking to get the Intel 320 160GB SSD instead since will not reach the full potential of C300.

Already tried googling but can't find useful info on this.

This model seems to b superseeded by pro36, a model with the new i7 cpu.

Anyone so far can obtain 8 hours battery life on their U36JC I am using the power4gear battery saving configuration and lower it even further at most I only obtain 6 hours, anyone? Asus stated 10 hours to far away loh I might selling it away if it cannot even reach 8 hours

that's abt right coz always need to halve the Asus' claim. :s22:
