The free asus sleeve is disappointing in terms of synergy with the phablet. It is just a slot in pouch =( Cant use the phablet with the sleeve on...sheesh

Just got mine today sitex. There was a price drop to $999 at the final hour for the 32gb version.

Good deal I think! Now to find some accessories for this baby :D

Got mine earlier today. Cant wait to customize the phone...

after getting the screen protector that is... I feel insecure w/o them :s22:

Any recommendations for shops that customize screen protector (apart from the lady in SLS?) or have the actual screen protector?

as well as skillful Gmask vendors/shops?

Thanks!:D

Interested to know the answer too. My padfone got no protection since day one :(

I cant believe.. I actually gave up and sold my note 2 for this...

for the first day.. I tot note 2 was better... however I decided to give the padfone2 a good chance and customised it properly..

today I sold my note 2 for this ...

I confirm that padfone 2 is many levels above padfone 1... asus really put a lot of effort into improving this and make a name in the phone industry...

Apologise if my english sucks but i find it weird because i cant figure out if you are praising Padfone 2 or are you regretting selling your Note 2 for this .. haha .. There is no comparison btw Note and Padfone .. Of course it will be better than Padfone 1 or how to claim as Padfone 2:s13::s13:

Cheers

I interpret it as he/she can't believe PadFone 2 is good til the extend that he/she actually sold his note 2 for it. I could be wrong though, be like you said the way he/she put it is... confusing :s22:

yeah of course, pf2 is miles better than pf1 in the overall scheme of things and in areas that matter greatly e.g. ease of use, slotting mechanism, camera, although there have been some sacrifices e.g. no more keyboard, smaller speaker, no microsd (very disappointing about this loss), no notification light.

agree with you that it is very difficult to compare the two phones cos they are so similar yet so radically different at the same time. but if i had to guess, not many consumers would give up note 2 for pf2, largely because asus still has not done much advertisement and 'education' of consumers. a large part of the growth of samsung in recent years is it has learnt how to psycho the users, just like how apple did for years.

back to the difficulty in comparison of note 2 and pf2. for example, some would say note 2 is inconvenient as it is too big. some would say pf2 is inconvenient as need to carry two items to use effectively. some might also argue pf2 is small enough to put in pocket while thinking (erroneously) that note 2 is too bulky.

some might argue the stylus of note 2 makes it more useful than pf2. some would contend there is no need for stylus.

everyone's usage pattern and preferences are different. but if i need to venture a guess, pf2 sale figures will not come even close to note 2.

Hahaha ... Icic ... I always wanted to change to Asus Padfone 2 ... Can utilise the phone dataplan for the tablet .. Win Win situation .. However, i just got my S3 when it first came out and i would not want to change again . Furthermore, it is quite pricey although you are getting a tablet and phone .. I wished it could come out earlier .. So i think i have to get a Galaxy note 10.1 for my school .. Do agree, they have improved a lot ..

Padfone 2 32GB NT$19900
Padfone 2 Station NT$6000
Screen Protector and G mask wrap for Padfone 2 NT$600

Here you go :)

sorry, ignore me...i'm just a sad prime owner

It's alright. Asus does have a product cycle that is getting shorter as time past by. I too would be disappointed if I were to buy something only to found out the newer one came out in just like... said less than half a year later :(
