@Yakumo, I have owned the Padfone 2 for about 12 days now. I did not experience what you have mentioned, in fact I would say the battery life is largely good and so much longer than my previous iPhone 4.

However I experienced the following situation twice so far, but have not really investigated further - when I docked my Padfone 2 into the station and removed it from the station after about 30 mins (there was no usage in between), the battery life actually showed about 10% dip. I always have this impression that the station is supposed to charge the Padfone 2 when it is docked during Intelligent Mode.

Anyone have ever experience a sudden dip of battery before? My phone experience it twice. After it drop til 20~% range it will suddenly drop til 0% overnight. When I view the battery settings it will show that somehow it soar til max then drop very steeply til 0%.

not sure abt overnight.. i usually dont let my batt drop below 20% if overnight. but i have tried using it below 20% in the day and it drops to <5% quite fast.. though not the sudden drop kind.

No, intelligent mode doesn't normally charge your phone unless it is almost drained..
The purpose of intelligent mode is to maximize the up time of tablet usage.. So it will intelligently use phone/tablet battery interchangeably..
(when both battery are almost drained they will put all the remaining juices to the phone though.. Leaving it with around 15% I think)

If you want your phone battery to charge, you should put it on phone preffered mode..

Starhub NFC SIM support for Asus Padfone 2?

I read a few reviews on Starhub's SmartWallet app and am pretty keen to try it out.

Could I ask if anyone has managed to apply for a Starhub NFC SIM and got it to work in Asus Padfone 2? Thanks!

I really want to know about this as well..
I called starhub's customer service and they told me that the nfc sim card is not compatible with the padfone..

I'm wondering whether it's possible to just change to the nfc sim card anyways.. And only use the nfc services as and when they make padfone compatible..

But didn't get thru from the customer service side.. Wonder if anyone can try this out..
