Z1 extreme APU with 12 CUs is ok but Strix Halo APU is on the horizon with 40 CUs.
12 vs 40.
Its a very big gap and will make the graphics performance much more palatable.

For Z1 extreme, its really only capable of good performance in gaming at 720p plus abit higher resolution.
I would not even say 1080p really.

But, kudos for going to 24gb of ram as 16gb was not enough given shared memory between system and gpu.
Switching to 2280 ssds is also good as the old ally was bottlenecked by the 2230 ssd (max speed 5000mbps).

Assuming they are not giving you a 7500mbps ssd with the ally x in the box, i would recommend most gamers to swap to one with that speed for quick loading of games etc.

Rog Ally X and accessories (comparing to my original Ally) plus SN850X 4TB x4 (one will be replacing Ally X)
