How's Starfield on ROG Ally?

I am currently running and testing Starfield with Low preset mods and 1920 x 1080, 70% FSR2... and I can only get 25 - 35 fps

Other games are really good on ROG Ally

Thinking of getting this leh, since can use as a pc also
I am using this.

For what you get at $999 msrp, it is worth it.

It replaced my desktop (sold it) and now my setup is much cleaner.

What it does need is for you to upgrade the ssd (i did that).
But, i didnt upgrade it with the ssd that most people seem to have used.

For gaming, you can get 60 fps in 720p in most games i tried.

But, for 1080p, not really. I mostly use 22 watt mode as the temps are pretty good at that power input.

Higher than that and you see the temperatures go quite high.

Hi guys, I'm thinking to buy ROG ally but being push back by SD card problem. I don't want to buy a expensive product with known spoil issue. I don't want to upgrade ssd either cuz 2 TB is over 200$. I easily used up 1tb as I have a lot of games. Current stock in singapore, does it still have SD card issue? Anyone uses the SD card on ally?

No SD Card issue on mine. Got it since day 1. I have an SD card for emulation games only. SD Card not good for playing normal steam games because its a slow storage. It is worth to upgrade the SSD. I got my 2TB from aliexpress, SN740 for $180.

You can consider the 2280 SSD adapter. Should be cheaper to get than 2230 of same size.

I have a similar case to Jsaux Modcase and stopped using it since its bulky and heavy plus the front cover still need to be removed and put away so its not as convenient.

Might as well just get a cheaper zip case.
Also I personally find any silicon case to be unusable because I do plug my ally into a Dock to use it with external monitor, keyboard, mouse.

For 6 months, I have been using it with just the Asus's zip case that came with pre-order and without any protection. The plastic is a little dirty but it held up well. I am not careful with it at all.

You can consider getting a screen protector, thumb stick cover and XG mobile plug cover... Also a Dock if you plan to plug in external monitor, kb, mouse. Maybe a portable monitor and this thing, 3 Pin to C5 plug so you can directly plug in the 65W included charger to a power plug.
