Is there any place that selling HDMI to VGA cable so that I can connect the tablet with an old model projector?

I tried looking for something like that but was told that it does not exist. There is a need for a convertor to downsample the digital HD signal as well as decrypt the HDCP code before converting it to an analog VGA signal. And you have to buy a special convertor box to do it... at least that is what the lady boss at the shop on 3rd floor of SLS selling all sorts of electronics parts and adaptors told me. And that is if I understand her correctly and she understood my request correctly... hahaha! But I have been looking and never came across this... which is quite curious since almost all projectors still are using the normal VGA connectors... there aren't any HDMI projectors of reasonable cost at the moment and so most of the HDMI output for tablets and notebooks are pretty useless since you can't use it for office productivity... most offices use projectors instead of HDTVs...

Just updated mine to ICS 4.0.1. Still in its 8 hour 1st charge.


Anyone know what the camera update does?

just curious, the 1st 8 hour charge is discharge it to 0% then wait till it charges to 100% with the unit off then remove or just leave it there to charge 8 hours then remove?

Cause my unit takes less then 3 hours to recharge from 0% to 100% with the unit turned off.

It's the same for all electronic devices... it will hit 100% but leave it on the charger overnight... batteries need to be condition and undergo a charge recharge cycle a few times to hit optimal capacity and discharge function.

Mind describing what the banding issue was about?

I heard from the Asus rep at Suntec that they knew about the ICS issues, removed ICS OTA for awhile and then resolved the issue, then put it back on OTA.

I havent explored my device yet since its still on charge...

Btw I am charging the device for the 1st 8 hours, then the dock for the next 8 hours. Hope that would be the correct way to charge (?) since I dont want any pass through interference leaving it in the dock to charge the 1st time.

And to repeat this cycle (full discharge then 8 hour charge) for a few times to condition the battery.
