Its good that Apple is leading the way in innovation. Even if I don't buy their product their pace of innovation will only be good for us consumers.

It will set the pace for the rest of the industry.

Battery life will be the ultimate decider. Apple will definitely not relinquish its lead.

I tried the transformer prime and the experience is very very disappointing for something thats supposed to be the best android tablet. The browser is laggy, the screen doesnt pick up my touches well and the keyboard(on screen) is awful. Compared to an ipad which is last gens tablet it just feels so sluggish im nt sure if it's the UI ASUS has on it or android on tablets as a whole or even the Tegra chip. It has so much processing power behind it and it doesnt translate into performance. I find that using a galaxy nexus has an even smoother experience as compared to the transformer prime. I hope ASUS comes up with an update to fix the performance issues. Btw i gt no wifi issues on it and i dont use GPS on my tablet so its arite if its broken.

the browser laggy could be from the stock...
the keyboard, Asus, looks nice but not easy to type.
(when compared to TF101..and others)

Tergra devices are meant for gaming...
if this is your 1st android devices or thinking that its a ipad replacement, don't.

i tried the old transformer and i thought for android standard, it was quite smooth already. the other smooth one was the lenovo k1 but no matter how smooth, android is never really smooth cos of the way it was made. u can google this. thats y a single core old ipad is still smoother, better to touch etc.

i suspect, having use windows phone, if windows ever build a tablet on it, it will rival the ios.

Bot a logitech bluetooth kb and a fine tip stylus. Was surprised it works completely well with ICS although the package stated for HC+

this isnt my first android device i used many android devices from HTC and samsung and nv had problems with their browsers and on screen keyboards ( the hard keyboard is pretty gd imo) but this tablet seems to have trouble keeping up/track with taps and touches on the screen which even a single core phone can do with ease and the amount of "checkerboarding" on the tablet is crazy esp when surfing slightly more intensive sites without flash on. I think its matter of optimizing by asus more than anything else because their ui overlay on the tblet isnt as heavy as touchwhiz or sense ui. If asus can fix these small little problems they got a darn good tablet on their hands it just seems like they rushed this out for the sake of being first tablet to quad core and ICS

all i can say is give it some time :)

thats always the issue when you try out cutting edge products :) new OS, new chipset, it will take a while for bugs to be fixed and things to be optimised.

similar to when IOS jumps between major versions, performance etc all suffer in the first few iterations :)

gv them time..if based on Asus records with Tf101, i had updates on every 6weeks...(since its initial 3.0 to 3.2.1). They are often, if not always, the 1st to have the new update.

when apple goes from 3.0 to 4.0 or to the recent 5.0...there are complains from many as well...

Its always hard to be a pioneer.

hopefully when the update for the older transformer comes out they would come up with one with bug fixes for the prime. Just hope they dont take too long i paid so much for this :(

Heard that for Chrome currently is only released in a few countries and Singapore is not part of the evaluation group. anyway if its good its only a matter of time. Just be patient for the official release .

Cheers.
