Show pictures and give detail review leh. Chk whether the TB3 can support 32Gbps@4xlanes instead of 'up to' 32Gbps and 2xlanes hor

According to this https://www.reddit.com/r/laptops/comments/71w27k/my_impressions_of_the_ux550ve_zenbook_pro/ us x4 but local versions might be different

Some Photos. Will do some tests when I am free. Quite happy overall with the laptop. The sound is superb (one of the best in a laptop), speed seems ok, fan sound is ok, screen got a slight yellowish hue but can adjust the setting, screen is clear and nice too, whole laptop feel solid except for the top part where there is some flex

Will try out the battery life when all setup is done.

Hi bro

Please check its battery life say for normal usage with WiFi for net surfing, watch a few youtube videos and use of MS Word at about 30 - 40 % brightness for indoor

Also, anyway to turn off the ASUS logo light on the cover to save battery life?

Thanks

Re

Accordng to the review here

http://www.ultrabookreview.com/18195-asus-zenbook-ux550ve-review/

HWInfo shows that the Thunderbolt 3 port is hooked up to the motherboard through 4x PCIe lanes. However, there are two TB3 ports, and from what I understand there’s a single connection for the two, which means you can either use just one of the ports at 4x, or the lanes split between them when using both ports at the same time.

So can only use 1 port at 4x or 2 ports for 4x

BTW, at what percentage screen brightness were you using? 30, 40 or 50%?

Also, any problems you like to report like coil whining, light bleeding etc

No problem with light bleeding. Screen percentage is 40%. Fan sound is really minimum unless you are fussy type.

There is 2 problem i noticed:
1. The driver for the graphics card is not that good, sometimes when switching windows, certain content will be blacked out.
2. The usb ports are quite tight.

For 1.

Are you using the iGPU or dGPU when you are switching Windows? I thought you should disable the dGPU when using normal operation? And enable the dGPU when playing games with the iGPU disabled?

Anyone had bad experience with Asus laptops before?

Mine had factory issues from the start ( base pads at bottom of the laptop lost its stickiness after 1 day and two came out)
Replaced my laptop and they still came out.

Also graphics card gets issues and screen blacks out for 3 seconds before being back to normal and windows saying and error occurred with the card.

Asus 3XX series

Screen blackout issue seems to be a common issue with Nvidia GPU card. Could be a driver issue. Is your issue with the original GPU driver or it happened after you upgrade the GPU driver?

Asus laptop currently is one of the better ones out there, the other one will be Dell. I have quite abit of laptop in my office using Asus and never encountered any problem with them. Whereas for HP, quite a bit of the laptop faces hinge problem and LCD screen problem. Never once I had a problem with Asus.

I only swear by Asus and Dell for their quality.
