If you can use Ethernet Backhaul, just use a cheap one to serve the room, for example RT-BE58U, below S$100 (or even below S$80) BNIB in Carousell.

If you need to use wireless backhaul, then that is another story, you have to post the floor plan with the details like the planned placement location of the main router and mesh node.

I plan for ethernet backhaul but i want to test wireless backhaul. I intend to lay one more cat6a so that my router and satellite node can see each other. I hope a door don't impact the wireless signal too much.

Device connected to 6GHz band of the main node will still able to move to the satellite (change to 5GHz band) but there may be a brief drop. If this is critical to you, get a triband satellite with 6GHz band, that means RT-BE92U or better.

If you got wired backhaul, there's no need to bother about the 6Ghz unless you are utilising wireless.
Wireless backhaul on 6Ghz need line of sight otherwise, not going to work well anyways.

And then will drop to 5Ghz if satallite no 6Ghz support.

1. Is it worth to replace my current Asus AX-82U router?
2. I am using Aimesh with AX-55, AX-82U as main router.
3. I am thinking to setup BE-6500 as main router and AX-82U as nodes. What is you thought?
4. Do you having performance issue on IoT devices using 2.4 Ghz on BE-6500?
5. Many users report poor write/read speeds on USB storage. Has this been fixed by later FW?

1) If you have a few 2.5Gbe wired devices, I will say yes.

3) Yes, you can use TUF-BE6500 as main AImesh router and RT-AX82U as mesh node.

4) I use RT-AX86U to serve 2.4GHz clients. You can use TUF-BE6500 first. If not good, use RT-AX82U.

5) Not tested. In general, you need to have lower expectations on router built-in shared storage function. And it is better not to use Asus AIcloud function since there seems to be multiple security issues with the function.

Does anyone own either of these 2 models (RT-BE86U, RT-BE92U).
I understand the
BE86U is a Dual-Band Router, but it has a more powerful CPU.
BE92U is a Tri-Band with a less powerful CPU.

I would like to know your reviews. I own an older Asus AX Router.
So, If I got a New Asus Router, I could do an AiMesh.

I was thinking of getting one of these 2 models.
As I was researching, I saw posts on RT-BE92U had issues constantly rebooting itself? Even after you had updated the Firmware.
