hi, can i just check with all of you, when i charge my zenfone 2 551 2Gb varient with samsung 2A charger for note, it takes a long time to charge. Anyone can tell me if the fast charge is only activated with its original charger or i need buy a special charger? how can i activate boostmaster?

you can use any qualcomm charger with 18 watt output to quick charge zf2.

fyi, your Samsung charger has 5.3v 2amp which provides 10.6 watt only, that's why the charging speed is not significant.

Can read all about it. Boostmaster is just actually Qualcomm Quickcharge 2.0. They did not charge any royalty to use the tech. Just need the OEMs to license it. You activate by having the charge with the correct power sizing. The 18 W charger is only available with the 4gig RAM ZE551ML model. This latter bit is clear from the Asus Website.

Hi guys, recently bought the ZE551ML 2g/32gb variant.

Updated to the newest firmware from asus. However when playing music on earphones, i get intermittent pauses here and there, i.e when i unlock the device, work on other apps etc. In general, just choppy music playback on both the Asus Music App and Google Play Music.

Wonder if anyone else experience the same?

Pure stock device here.

Can you try Rocket Player?

Heard it's 2G for the 2nd SIM slot. But would it means that good old GPRS tech is supported?

Well for budget dual sim phones where 2nd SIM is only 2g, GPRS is supported. but takes like 1min to load a website

Anyone else having issues where DT2W is disabled but the phone still responds to touches on the capacitive keys(vibration) and you can wake up by double tapping capacitive keys?

Either that means 2GB will soon lose software support, or they decided to streamline the product line to minimise confusion.

From programmer point of view, ASUS music player could be running the mediaplayer instance on the UI thread, hence any intensive event will result in slowdowns of the music playback.

I disabled asus zenmotion > touch gesture and the double tap to wake function remains off.
