theoretically the intel chip is 43k antutu while the snapdragon 800 is around 30k. Since its not much of an upgrade you should stick with your current one.

As for battery life if youre light user, i left home at 100% on 3g and use for occasioonal surfing, as of now still have 68%
ooo, i do a little digging around for performance...

seems if i change my xperia z1 for a 550ml, im just upgrade performance like 10% and screen size to 5.5inch...

Should I just shoot the 551ml Z3580 instead?

Hi,

can please share which app you are using to test how many satellites?
how accurate is that? Can see which satellite / brand / company it can link up to?

thanks

Root Zenfone 2

0. have latest firmware
1. Install Intel USB driver for Android Devices (this is a new version, recently released): https://software.intel.com/en-us/android/articles/intel-usb-driver-for-android-devices
2. Download the 15 seconds ADB Installer v1.4.2 and install everything from it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0MKgCbUM0itSUhpUklCTFpzWkE&authuser=0
3. Download the desired pre-rooted firmware from MEGA: https://mega.co.nz/#F!k4MHiAgL!dVuOKeH3eokcwPSNI79ffw
(the folder you choose should be the same as your firmware on phone. eg ze550ml international version is z008 ww 2 15 40 13
ze551ml is z00a
Download 3 files from the folder: boot.img, recovery.img and system image - the system image is split into multiple files through a .zip archive...so extract it after all the parts are downloaded)

4. Copy the boot.img, recovery.img, system.img into the folder where ADB installed its files.
5. On your PC, go to the ADB folder, hold shift and right mouse button and choose "Open command windows here"
6. Plug your phone to your PC via USB cable
7. Type adb reboot fastboot. Phone will restart in fastboot mode
8. Type fastboot devices . You should see your device afterwards in the command window.
9. Type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img wait till its done
10. Type fastboot flash boot boot.img wait till its done
11. Type fastboot flash system system.img - This takes a while. Wait till it's done.
12. Disconnect USB cable. then click on Normal Boot button on phone screen

When phone restarts, you notice all your apps / settings are still intact.

13. Access the SuperSu notification and choose to update binaries via Normal Way/Mode

After that, dont update binaries unnecessarily. and new updates might screw the root

yea, wait and wait end up only Silver. Guess i will wait few days before heading out to buy on the 16th to look for other colours. 429 is a good price, but i believe can source abit lower at maybe 420 outside.

Why is color so important? Its just different back cover. U can buy different color back cover (not plastic hard back casing) from eBay for like $3

My zenfone 2 system alone is taking up aboyt 1gb of the ram usage, is this common? And when i open just a few apps jt gets a little laggy. My previous phone did not take up so much...

Dillemma to wait for go or proceed with Silver. Asus themselves are unsure of the release date of the gold version. Guess i will make do with Silver and change the cover once its scratched up.
