amazing nite mode camera * other phones, all you see is a dark patch

so so display compared to samsung amoled
lousy battery life

Eh, just swipe downward on notice bar and clear it. I just unmounted my 64GB card, inserted my 128GB card to see if it can 'see' the 128GB card and I'm happy to report that it does. Played my videos stored on the card on the ZF2 w/o issue. Swapped back to my 64GB card, noted the SD card inserted notice and cleared it.

also do u find the buttons stiff & the back casing very difficult to remove?

Gotten a ZF2 ZE551ML (32GB/2GB version) - for a couple weeks and I noticed the overall battery performance is fairly disappointing to say the least - after nearly 1 day of moderate use from 100% at 7am just left slightly less than 50% at the end of day (now) and already tried disabling most of the "useless" apps/bloatware using auto-start manager and even tried ultra-saving mode but to no avail. I am not a "heavy user" - this is happening even after moderate usage (occasionally connecting to 3G data and switching off data when not connected, 2 or 3 phone calls, occasional snapshots etc.)

I really hope ASUS releases a fix to this problem soon!

Did you go through the specs listed on the ZF3? It looks to be a lower end version compared to the ZF2, especially the 4GB versions (even the 2GB version to some extent since it has lower clocked CPU).....so, nothing to get excited about other than it having dual sim.

I have checked that I've unzip the files and extracted the system.img.

Did you update to latest firmware? Yes I'm getting this too intermittently - I too switch off mobile date when not using.

In addition the wallpaper keeps resetting back to the blue background one occasionally. (the same one when you first switch on the phone out of the box)

Running latest firmware on 32GB/2GB.

Yeah the newest one from a few days ago the one about camera stability etc. I think that's when I started getting that issue.
My wallpaper also turns black but it reloads almost immediately.
