Called M1 for technical assistant. The guy said might be sim card problem, which I doubt so. He said he will reset my connectiong, and restart my phone and try to call again in 10 minutes, but issue still persists.

Don think is sim card issue.

Quite possible as Starhub 4G coverage is very poor. At my home. Mostly call also switch to 3G. Using a Samsung note 4.

my house starhub 4g almost full bar on 3 different phones. all 3 phones switch to 3g the moment i try to make a call because volte isn't supported on the phones. nothing to do with coverage.

4g = data only, no voice. its the same no matter what telco you go to and unless your phone & telco supports volte, your phone will definitely switch to 3G to make calls.

I am also problem with calling out. Bukit Timah area. 4G network 4 bar full. Yet when I call certain numbers, cannot access.

The M1 operator ask me to switch to 2G/3G when I need to call out. She says network coverage not good in my area. I was like...

What is the heck is she talking about?

Sent to service centre. CSO said they are aware of the software issue with m1 user not able to call on 2g/3g/4g mode, and they will fix this in the new updates.
