The usual handphone shops, e.g. Mobilesquare, Whymobile, etc. are selling at cheaper price of $330

realistically speaking, if u just use very simple apps, 2G should be enough, but if you to "future proof" your device, 4G RAM / 64 bit is the way to go (least you are planning to use your HP for two years)

an example is the debate is QHD display vs FHD, why Samsung S6, LG G3/G4, Meizu, Lenovo, XiaoMi go for it .. while other mainstream refuse to join (HTC, SONY, Huawei) .. just go check out the comments given for those non-QHD display ... it is not pretty ...

some people say you cannot tell the difference, i can tell you there is a difference, but the drawback is that display will suck your battery, so will you rather have a shorter battery vs better display? it is your choice

so if let me choose more RAM (if i can afford), i will take the more RAM / internal memory option - ALWAYS

I believe its best wait...many videos shows its with the 4G variant.
As I type, I uses the z3580 Dell Venue.
Daily is well...but I believe the exp will improve due to 4G.
More multi task or loading of images

Anyone knows if there is really a need for 4GB RAM?

Still undecided if i should wait for the 4GB one...

the power of 4G ram.....
We shd rally fir the 4G ram variant to come kn by "boycott" the 551ML 2G varaint
:) (if price is not a concern)

i tot Asus OS is quite clean... no?

zzz... thats a minus point... I liked Xperia and LG for its quite minimal OS... I hated HTC ever since Sense 5 and worst is Samsung...

Sadded...

The UI itself is pretty clean, it's just that there are quite a fair bit of pre-installed apps. The ASUS app count by itself is already 34. Of course, you could always disable them.

I think we should have a law like the US to allow the uninstallation of preinstalled apps.

Not only are they space hoggers, majority, if not all, runs on startup. :s8:

Does not really matter abt warranty since it's only cover 1 year. The 4g64g version cost 2899hkd
I guess it's a better one to get due to 1080p

I realise that only ASUS charger charge my zenfone at a reasonable speed. (30~40%/hr)

other brand wall charger/ power bank charge at a turtle speed.. anyone experiencing same issue? (10~15%/hr)

Probably due to the voltage and ampere , asus charger is rated at 5.2v 1.3A , while other chargers are 5.0v or 5.1v 1A.
