Also, agree with that after familarisation, easy to find the button placement. So why need to light up? Waste batt to emit photon.

Having multiple choices is good. I would consider zenfone series if they had backlight.

They would sell more units if they had backlight

just install weekly from miuidroid, has all features of original cn version, except for movie streaming. simply install and from update app and you will auto receive root after install.

i'm ex mi 3 user...

Currently at phuket, and also tested out the dual SIM active function. So I switched my singtel SIM from slot 1 to 2 so that I can still receive sms from SG. Then I put in a Thai telco SIM into slot 1. So far so good! When I wanna make a phone call, it will ask which SIM to use to call.

For those who want to change density without root, follow these steps

1)Open settings go to about
2) Tap build number 6 times til lit says youre now a developer
3) Go developer options, enable usb debugging
4) Download adb here
5) Connect your phone and inside adb command prompt type adb devices
6) command prompt will say unauthorised. Press ok on your phone
7) Type adb devices again, now it will show as authorised
8) For ze550ml you can type:
adb shell wm density 240
For ze551ml you can type:
adb shell wm density 380
9) Restart phone and enjoy bigger screen area

To undo changes type:
adb shell wm density reset
