Same case for J2 Mobile as well and it's stated "in stock" there so maybe can get on the spot there w/o pre-ordering?

perhaps the choice of color...

yes sorry this is double post also on mi band thread but I would like to buy phone over weekend so hope to get quicker feedback. thanks for patience ...

Hi all, anyone using ZenFone 2 ze500cl using the custom mi band notification APK? Like to find out if these 2 devices are fully compatible eg the sleep and steps tracking work and also very importantly the notification for calls and apps.

Reasons being I have a Samsung galaxy grand 2 now on android 4.3, the mi band drops out frequently and need to switch off and on Bluetooth on phone every time just to sync data. and due to this dropout the band does not vibrate when there are incoming calls most of the time (need this feature cos sometimes too noisy cannot hear phone or feel the phone vibration in pocket when walking ). also very strangely, the steps count reset in mid day and often the band says did not wear band to sleep.

I've tried 2 different bands on this phone and with same effect and tried official app and custom app and also installed and reinstalled many times before to troubleshoot the issue. I know the 2 mi bands work properly on a ZenFone 5 LTE though.

therefore I thought to buy a new phone on at least 4.4 native. so why ZenFone 2 ze500cl? Cos it's on already in lollipop and it's a newer phone release and still cheaper than a ZenFone 5 LTE so if the ZenFone 2 is fully compatible I'd prefer to buy that.

hope to get some feedback from actual ZenFone 2 users. thanks in advance

Your problem is using 4.3
4.4 use different Bluetooth so no such problem

Instead of cutting new phone just update to 4.4.4

After rooting, disable 36+ apps, plus install greenify, battery life is better! From around 47% after 1day 1 night,
Now is still 70%

Yep it's the 4.3. tried check for updates on phone directly and using Samsung PC software and says it's already using latest software.... so give up...

refer to your pic, which model are you using and any guide to the root method ?

Yes just battery cover. Dont understand why so many people so hard up about getting the color they want. In fact if u get a different colored smart cover it also solves the problem

Got my ZenFone 2 4gb 32gb Rom. Battery life is miles better than Samsung s6! Yes, I sold my s6 for this!
