anyone having network issues or rather SIM free not detected signal issues after OTA update recently for Zenfone 2 (ZE500CL) model? Sad it's not available for Android 6 update in future.

But use the power saving mode, performance got stutter more?
power saving mode doesn't affect cpu clock

it just turns off your internet (i.e. wifi and 3/4g) when your phone is asleep.

in other words, you wont get email or whatsapp notifications while your phone is locked. you actually have to unlock the phone to turn networks back on and one-shot get all notifications that were due

kind of a stupid power saving idea. it makes the concept of push notifications redundant.

Power saving mode also disables 2 CPU cores

Not a stupid idea. You can get 5hours screen on time with power saving mode. If u switch off u get 3-3.5hours

Exactly the point i was trying to put across, but if you feel activating power saving mode makes your phone still feel the same. then by all means.

i didn't know about the disabling cpu cores. that's a good idea, i'm all for it actually.

what i dislike is teh shutting off of the networks. i maintain that is stupid.

if there is indeed core disabling as you say, then it's rendered redundant because we can't customise our power saving mode. in other words, if we want to go low processing power mode, we have to have our networks shut off when the phone is asleep. it's forced on you.

it's a very annoying trait, when you don't get notifications for hours so you don't check your phone. then when you unlock, you find heaps of urgent msges waiting for you.

the whole point of push notifications is so that you don't have to waste time routinely checking your phone until it tells you to.

Any idea if ASUS Zenfone 2 (ZE500CL) might get a update to Android M (32bits version)? Understand now it is left out because of 64bits. Android 5.0 is quite some bug from their OS, hope ASUS do a Android 5.1 at least for the model.
