First time in Japan ?
They are mostly very friendly.
Don’t need to bombard them in English as some may get intimidated.
My many solo Japanese trips are mostly
silent mode with iPhone screen + pointing at
pictures.

Asia societies tend to be more reserved ba. Plus the huge language barrier. Jps people really super crappy english one (in general)

yah, actually I found a nikon dslr with quite a good lens at the toilet at Disneyland.

so i approached the staff, like i ask if english is ok? they say little bit... then i proceed to ask if there's any lost and found counter.. then kena jammed there.

so i gave up trying and just pass one of the staff the camera and told them i found at the toilet.

hopefully the owners will be able to get it back... cos its really sad to lose a camera while on holiday.

Don’t think so. The only hostilities that I got was in Nagoya. Even the PRC staff at a famous local chicken wing outlet refused to take our food orders. No issues with Kagawa, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Tohoku, Hokkaido and other parts of Chubu.

All Chinese look the same for them. Maybe that why they treated u equally no difference from PRC, Malaysian, Taiwan etc..

Some of them would appreciate it if you spoke Japanese.
