I stayed at okura prestige bangkok recently
Very good location at phloen chit BTS very near central embassy
Check in/out was smooth
Breakfast buffet was very good on the 26 floor
Room very modern
Gym was fully equipped
With a small infinity pool
About $300 plus and above a night
Highly recommended if you are looking for quality hotel

wow thank you for your reply
budget up to 120-130
prefer at pratunam area.. so i can go to the shopping malls during the day and night around that area.

was thinking novotel, renaissance or centralworld.

will be my second time there so still new :s13: so not sure where will be the best place to stay.. first time stayed at grand diamond but didnt really like. the place kinda old.

btw can i get those day tours at those hotels? thinking of going to the railway market and floating market.

(A) What is your budget ?
(B) Area you prefer ?

Recommendations:
PRatunam: AMari watergate (90+ one night) , Grand Diamond (75-85 one night) , Berkeley Pratunam (90+ one night), Arnoma (80 one night), Centara grand centralworld (150-250 one night)

Terminal 21:
Grande Point Terminal 21 (120+ one night) => 5 stars, superior 32m2 no bath tub, is just below mall
S Sukhuvmit (70+ one night) => 3 stars hotel

Central Plaza:
Grand Mercure Fortune (60+ to 100+ one night) => 4 stars, superior room 26m2 bath tub, room is very old). Below is rama 9 station, opposite is centralplaza, below is tesco :)

MBK:
VIE (90+ to 120+ one night) => 5 stars hotel
Novotel Siam Square (100+ one night) => 4 Stars Hotel Near siam bts
Mercure (70+ to 80+ one night) => 4stars hotel

I agree with you. This is the best place to stay. I had a great experience about this place. I also stayed there a couple months ago with my friends. THE rooms are neat and clean. The atmosphere is awesome. You can also taste their delicious foods.

renaissance is 150, novotel platinum is 100-120, centralworld is 130 -160
grand diamond old room, but location is super good.
maybe u can try amari watergate, oct my travel dates is around 95 one night.

for those half day tours go railway market and floating market, can try deal.com.sg, they have 26 sgd per person, bought two times before ...

I would not mind if I'm travelling with friends and can split the cost of the room. But if I travel solo I will probably think twice.

Agree price is high but as I travel with my family with kids I want the memory to be nice for everyone so pay more this time for a nice experience and it's really worth it

The hotel staff are responsive to our request and make you feel like they do listen to your needs. I guess you pay to get quality

You are correct. since the budget is way beyond my budget, so normally would check hotel prices, then hopefully can find hotel with glitch price. then can pay lower with 5 stars hotel...

So far booked Shangri La Krupeth Wing room club room (Free bf, cocktail buffet, hi tea buffet) for 400sgd two rooms 3nights. Usual is 2400 +
Then booked marriott sathorn apartment (Free breakfast) two bedroom 100m2 for 180 sgd 2nights one room 3 adults ... usual is 480 ...

I search many different sites such as agoda, booking.com, expedia etc, then compare. glitch can happen at any website. glitch will only last few minutes or hours ... so once see it, will faster book, coz any time the price will be updated to normal price when you want to submit to make payment.

the advice is check different websites at least 3x per day lol ...
tat's what I did
glitch price mayb applies to selected travel dates ,does not apply to other dates ... so exact travel dates matters alot :)

So it really depends on luck I guess. Have you managed to get glitched prices for airfare too?
