Audio Interface / DAC

In the search for a good Audio Interface for my PreSonus Eris 3.5 (with pc setup) onboard sound.

or should I go for DAC/AMP combo?

Any recommendations?

Purpose: Music, Music & Gaming

Moi use Fiio K3.
This is Entry Level DAC AMP combo.
If you want fake surround sound can consider Creative G6.

yes, but last minute deal for Xonar U7 called off. so, thought look for some alternatives!

if that's the case then it's better to live with onboard sound first and see what you like/dont like about using onboard sound. from there, you should be able to know what to look for next

if the e3.5 is as "sensitive" as the e5 then i'd imagine you'll be looking for a ground isolator next

I'm planning to use the Presonus 3.5 speakers too for music, but it'll be hooked up to my turntable, not PC.

You don't need an amp since the speakers are active.

Good DACs don't have to cost alot, just get an used Schiit Modi or ODAC from carousell and they will be under your budget.

I like buying used desktop equipment because 1) they're usually stationary anyway and 2) passive electronics can last a very very long time.
