Hi I'm confused why would Sony lousy 10 bucks ear pieces sound so much louder and fanciful than my SGD 400 ath esw9? I really love my esw9 but not sure if its my Xiaomi phone that's unable to drive it well.Tried other phones need to turn up the volume too. I know Sony a25 has a good soundstage. Then what phones should I pair with? My dilemma is not sure to buy a new esw9 or aim for something better. Esw9 sounds very compressed n soft at noisy places. Anybody knows the contrast with senn momentum or HD25? Well momentum here is cheap. Amperior at high ends are very painful to the ears. I need something that plays loud and clear like senn but colourful as in soundstage or details like Sony or AT.

Trying my ESW9 on laptop....sound quality seems pretty okay. Dropped it and abused it multiple times....not sure if this will cause harm to the ESw9.

this Audio Technica ATH-CKB50 $38 from challanger good or not?

rare to find a balanced armature for low price like this, also hard to find reviews and apparently it has japanese on its packaging seems like not many ppl know of this product

After much much much consideration... finally got myself im02 at the IT Fair. More pocket friendly although I was aiming im03... ",)

Finally got my CKR-9 @ IT show... Discount of $50...
Promoters seemed a little peeved as I was there testing for 1/2 hr, but happy when I actually bought it
$198 w/ free bag :s12:


Female vocal from CKR-10 was heavenly though.. but $298, can't bear to spend so much.

Anyway, compared to CKR-10, CKR-9 sound is brighter and sharper treble.
CKR-10 feels warmer with a tad heavier bass.

Anyone has good ear tips to recommend or im02? I'm feeling a bit discomfort after using it for an hour or so. I think the nozzle is abit short and I keep trying to push the earpiece in for more forward sound. I'm using S tips.. i did some mentioned about sony hybrid ?.. thanks !

sony hybrid didnt give me a deeper seal, but the double flange did. Check out Jaben

Im02 is a vocal iem, bass not that strong

Better try it first, on paper it seems to be an upgrade but if you don't like it, it's nt worth it

took the plunge, hooted it at the IT show today! I like it, more details and clearer on the vocal side but lose on bass. Unlike the "fun" factor that my SE215 gives me.

BTW anyone know if shure olives fit on im02? the silicon like not very good leh.

Good that u like it. Can change around with your se215 when u listen to diff genre of songs.
