Probably one of the best technical-performing woodie (or headphone in general) i've tried. Even edges out my recent Denon D7100 in terms of musicality. The W3000 just makes you want to listen to it more and more, which is something i love my Shure SRH-1840 for. The mids are a little thin compared to the Shure 1840, though by just a thin margin. Am just amazed at how flexible the W3000 can be sonically when paired with different set-up and yet retains its signature.

Really a pleasure to see and listen. :)

Most flagship ATH iems like CK100/CK100PRO seem to like a warmer source frm my personal testing, I also remembered from some prior discussions via HK/taiwanese overseas forums, most older Kenwood DAPs are quite warm in nature w/o losing transparency thus they match pretty well with CK100/CK100PRO's analytical nature. But for headphones I'm still honestly quite new to them actually, but I do know it's been shared more than once on Head-fi itself that the AD1000PRM/AD2000 Air Dynamics are a pretty good match with Eddie Current's Zana Deux tube amp actually.

As for the W-series, most of their stuffs matches excellently with the AT-HA5000 (duh) desktop amp or Yamamoto HA-02 (which is avail for demoing at Jaben as well).

Haha good, it's great to know ppl who knows how to enjoy/appreciate ATH gears. I always used to think this forum is kinda pro-AKG/Shure/Sennheiser, with other ppl owning quite abit of their headphones. But it's always nice to be able to hear from someone who has owned some other makers pretty high-end headphone models, and yet also commenting that it's a pleasure to listen to ATH headphones as well.

Uh don't need to trouble you bro, haha you provided the website and details liao for me alrdy, i can always call them up myself. :) I also need to wait for Randius to get back to me also regarding this haha, since he's the co-organiser for this event actually.

Participants interest does seemed to be alittle lacking right now however, bcos if removing Rubick I think so far we only have 4 guests actually, apart from organisers Randius and me that is. :o

Perhaps it's around the CNY holidays are everyone is tied up with preparations? Would love to attend though the dates (8th and 11th?) are difficult due to work and family commitments. I'll still try to squeeze in if the opportunity permits.

If Rubick can attend it would be great. Poison the fella enough and he'll start poisoning more to ATH gears :s13:

Yeah I think it's the Lunar CNY festive season, everyone prolly caught up with their last minute spring-cleaning or preparations, to get ready for the upcoming new yr visiting. I think there might be a possibility that this meet will get cancelled eventually, cos i'm not sure if Randius or me would be comfortable enough with bringing so many gears/stuffs just to feed 4 ppl's pair of ears lol. Also have yet to confirm the shortlisted venues and their ambience yet, dunno suitable for headphones demo-ing or not. :s13: (since ATH's W-series and AD-series does leak quite abit of sound, so isolation wise is definitely not as gd as closed hp)

Do highly appreciate the afore-mentioned suggestions you had provided for us though, kenz thanks. :) Haha Rubick, i don't exactly know his music tastes well but i'm guessing if there's a chance he gets to listen to more ATH stuffs, there could be strong likelihood he might like the AD1000PRM or my upcoming AD2000X, if he ever appreciates Asian female vocals a fair bit. Though that's not to say Adele's vocals are not poisonous on my AD1000PRM though, but I do think that the higher-tier AD series' forte and strength lies in Asian female vocals. :)
