Hi Haonan, I want to buy AT-PHA05BT. May I ask where can I find this and how much?
Thanks very much.
Hi EnzoSZFang. You may try buying from Amazon JP, they usually have a pretty gd exchange/returns policy so even if you have problems, you may return the damaged goods to them within 30 days and they will send u a new replacement. Prolly the best bet for anyone in terms of imported ATH stuffs if u do not have any friends/contacts in JP to help u take care of physical warranty issues. There are some services out there such as Tenso/VpostJapan that will help u take care of the forwarding procedures in JP, but for payment wise u will have to setup yr own acct on Amazon JP first and pay for the item beforehand. (for sending add, pls kindly use the Tenso/Vpost address that they provide u on their respective website, for successful forwarding to yr place)
If you think the above is too much a hassle for u, just do a keyword search on eBay yourself, it's also avail under some sellers there afaik.
Hi AT fans and esp to those who own ESW9.
Does this pair of cans need 'burn in'?
It sound pretty warm and darker after a couple hours of hearing.
And good for female vocals...but I cant hear the ending words while playing christian music where supposingly the female vocals should be very clear. Eg. christ becomes cry....free becomes fre.
I bought from Stereo confirm REAL LOL.
Do you guys think I should try to listen for another 12 or 20 hours?
Worth the buy or should I get Sennheiser instead? Still pondering if I should sell it but its very amazing for watching concerts.
Just that the vocal clarity in individual voices/solo singers is lacking compared to Senn.
Not trying to bash anyone or any product.
Warm is okay but it sounds warm across all kinds of voice.
I actually bought it because overall sound stage, trebles ,highs and lows are crisp and awesome sounding.
But it really bleeds as I do not think its very strong-built.
Need extra care.
I listen to jpop/hip-hop, chinese /cantopop, soft jrock.
Help,any opinion?
Oh ya if I should keep my ESW9 if recommended by AT seniors, where can I get a pouch to store it? Need extra care.=D
I didn't really like the ESW9 because of the warm tubey sound.
If you want clarity, you can try the ES10
Personally I've tried my ES10 against the HD 25-1 II, Amperior and Momentum. One thing that I like about the Sennheisers is the isolation (But after changing my earpads to the ESW11LTD lambskin ones, my isolation has improved. One thing I really cannot stand about the Sennheisers is the bass.
Sound wise HD25-1 II and Amperior sounds pretty similar to the ES10, But the ES10 sounds a lot more refined.
Not sure about the ESW9. But even though the ES10 looks pretty fragile, its actually pretty durable as long as you handle it with care.
I use the AT-HPP5 headphone hardcase to carry mine around (along with a microfibre cloth from Daiso)
???????????????????AT-HPP5
Audio Technica just announced new products (a speaker stand, updated headphones, USB amp stick) but only the amp looks a little interesting. It supports up to 24/96 and made out of aluminum. Oh man, the WS55X black-red version looks very ugly leh...

. I think you should upgrade new DAC/Amp. HA26D still good. But just my opinion, it pair well with A-AD series not W seriesI already heard W3k on Yammy, I can confirm it absolutely fantastic. Incredible detai, imaging but mid-range still warm, sweet and keep clearly, bass control and more focus compare with W5000. Just some small problems, this cans a little heavy and the soundstage isn't wide, pleasant enoughRandius, u know u NEED the Yammy now.
