The conclusion was already given during last yr's Dec head-fi meet, too bad you did not come down.

Got a couple of laojiaos there such as Kchew (Kelvin) and other gaoren like Joe, who really likes the W5000 for vocals. IIRC Kelvin heard it through his own Woo Audio desktop setup and says female vocals is way better than the W3K. I personally also prefer the W5K vocals over W3K myself, but I would still say when it comes down to film or game soundtrack scores (I listen to quite abit from Hans Zimmer/Harry Gregson Williams/Yoko Kanno) and maybe some acoustic instrumentals that are more drums-emphasized, I would still say the W3000ANV does have a slight edge over W5K to my ears, at it does bass impact/rumble details abit better than its sibling brother.

I might not be getting the W3K already, the last set was already taken at Stereo, and online prices are quite overboard lately for the W3K. I will see if I have any chances to grab a brand new pair when I head over to JP this June, but if not I will just concentrate on acquiring some other cans as Fostex will be coming out with some new stuffs later this yr, and I hope to still grab a pair of TH600's later.

I think Alamakazam and some of the guys are intending to hold the SG head-fi meet bi-annually and I believe the next one is this yr June. Unfortunately I will be in Yokohama this yr so I won't be able to make it, but if Randius is attending I will make sure to pass him my W5K so some of u guys can get to audition this pair of cans properly if you guys are really interested in it. I trust him enough and he lives quite nearby me, so it's very easy for me to arrange with him.

TBH, ak240 out of radar. Hong kong pricing is around 3.4k+ sgd liao. way too much. K10 not to my liking, so out.

I hooted the last piece of IM70 at Stereo Ion today. It seems that its a popular model. The IM50 still has alot left on the shelves. Anyway, I feel that the IM50 is much bassier than the IM70. That`s just my personal opinion..

can u share currently what tips u prefer for ck100pro. I searched ur past post and u mentioned the original black colour foam tips for ck10 (or issit ck100) and also sony EP-EXN50's hybrid foam tips

are these 2 still your go-to tips or u have found better solutions liao..

i am looking for a tip to showcase the original ck100pro signature.. im using the black rubber tips as i prefer shallow insertion and they sound better that way .. i am not a isolation guy, dont have to go really deep fit , but i not in the direction of foam tips as i always remove my earphone to either answer the phone or talk to people and i dont like rolling the foam to insert back in, another problem is the longevity of the foam tips

u try ortofon tips before? im not sure if the nozzle size fits though..

Wow..big gap in the price range. For electronic music perhaps the ATH-IM70 would be a great value for money choice.

WOW, Today i bought ATH-M50X from audio technica, frankly speaking i am a cheap earphone listener before. I have spent $70 on previous on my philips earphone. Now, i bought this after my research. i am very pleased. Thanks to youtubers and stereo for the great price deal. happy.
