Thinking of buying something else to complement yr current ATH-IM03's? Sounds like the IM02 is an option waiting for you.
:s13:

It's a vocal specialist and sounds extremely gd for all kinds of female vocals, if u're into that kind of thing then I would def recommend this model to you with no doubt. It's retailing on Bic Camera right now at 18,800yen , same retail pricing as found on Amazon.co.jp which usually has some of the cheapest prices for japanese maker IEMs so you don't lose out much really.

Furthermore, as shared via one of my posts under the Japan travel/accommodation forums, Bic Camera is having a rebate campaign right now where travelling tourist can enjoy 13% rebate inclusive of the usual 5% tax rebate discount we usually get when we show our passports (only eligible when making purchases above 10,000yen in value), so after deducting the 13% off Bic Camera's current pricing for the IM02, you do save abt 50 bucks off this model compared to if you were to get this locally here.

If I'm not buying my japanese audio gear off Fujiya/e-Earphone stores, I almost always exclusively request my friend from there to help me get my gears from Bic Camera/Yodobashi bcos they have this points system, and since my friend have their membership card so he can transfer the savings to me.

Bic Camera/Yodobashi outlets can typically be found almost anywhere in JP since these are quite large and popular electronic chain retailers, so there is a good chance your friend will stumble upon these electronic stores if he happens to be in central Tokyo. (Fujiya/e-Earphone physical stores are not actually that hard to find as well, if you need their store addresses you may PM me, though your friend may have some problem finding it if he's not good with japanese words or the actual street locations there)

Yeah, Japan is a well-known heaven too for camera enthusiasts in general no doubt, I always get my Sony E-mount (NEX is a phased-out marketing term liao) lenses directly from JP since I have nv noticed much complaints or issue with Sony lenses, and they are also usually priced cheaper in JP due to their open pricing standards.

I do have to highlight and bring up the fact to you that the IM01/IM02 models are not manufactured/made in Japan though, it's clearly shown in the manual of my IM02 that these were manufactured in China instead. (well gone were the days when AT used to make all their own BA type CK model-naming series iems all in their native land, especially the well-known models such as CK10/CK100/CK100PRO, as the CK10 and CK100 has been reviewed by many veteran reviewers on head-fi and they all come with very durable and sturdy build quality including their non-detachable cables)

But I suppose the IM series should still be quite safe for now since it's been released for abt 3 mths now and there are no current report of driver failures or anything like that over in Japan or Taiwan afaik. And if anything does happen to our cables eventually down the road, well one would just have to find another pair of official 1st-party iem cables for it again I guess.

Perhaps the build quality in terms of the IM series for now is quite difficult to judge since these are afterall considered relatively new products by AT. Time will tell.

Maybe you would like to try searching The Adelphi. We do not stock the small size one.

My Shure 215s have been terribly disappointing (audio, build of inline mic cable all CMI) thus I've just whacked a pair of IM70s this afternoon. Not looking forward to dealing with memory cables again but I've no complaints with the sound of the IM70s

That is undoubtedly a IM02, since this model and the IM01 are the only ones that comes with embossed designed AT logo on the housing itself after having tested all 4 models under the IM series lineup. IM03/04's logo on the housing enclosure are painted on instead.

And congrats to bangdoll and bedlamite for joining the AT ship recently, enjoy yr new hoots!

Go E1PersonalAudio and look for David, ask him for the TS-500 series Comply tips. The original Complies that comes bundled with the IM series lineup are all based on T-500 series, so when choosing the TX or TS series just opt for the 500 series.

If you haven't been reading ClieOS blog which he had reviewed the TS series previously before against the normal T series, I can come in to give you my own feedback as I have tried those 3 series by Comply before, generally in most situations the TS series should help fix your problem easily. They shd have small size ones, just ask them for it.
