Most impt thing is they take in transfers with preexisting or not?

seems like No.

From AXA Q&A:

"Please note that if you had developed any medical conditions from the time you had purchased
your existing Integrated Shield Plan i.e. today you have a pre-existing medical condition, you will
need to be aware that those medical conditions may not be covered when you switch to your new
AXA Integrated Shield Plan."

Like that not very attractive. The h&s market is rather saturated. Dunno why they come into the h&s market at such a late stage.

:s22: yea 100k :s13: but must be referred by their panel of GP. Otherwise, its 10k. If its real emergency, i wouldnt want to go GP den to A&E

I think they will accept u in but with similar exclusions that ur current H&S has. Unless, your condition is something that has no or little chance of relapse den they might accept u on full underwriting.

is this better compared to H&S plans by GE?

So far fm wat I see, AXA is clearly better for the post hospitalisation treatment at 365 days vs GE's 120 days. But AXA coverage for community hospital is limited for 45 days only. No limit for GE.

I'm also with GE now. Seems like AXA is cheaper by quite a bit. In fact I was told the GE charges are more premium than most for all their insurance products. All my insurances are by GE.

GE's charges for the CI element is one of the most expensive in the market. Their charges for Death/TPD element still ok ok...

Yup this is true. Also for our private hospitalisation plan we have a coverage limit of $1mill per year which is much higher than others.

The premiums are comparable to the others too. Since you are using medisave, might as well get the most comprehensive one for you and your family.

great thanks... all have pros n cons. no clear winner..
good if they include the comparisons for the premium of the deductible+co-insurance riders. u know of any comparison available?

Theres a sticky thread for MediShield now. (Credits to blurpandasg2014). It sums up the H&S and Rider.

IMO insurance plans like the HS + Rider will always vary here and there. Some may be more expensive now, in your case GE, but there will be times other companies are more expensive.

Its a never ending comparison because the policies will only be enhanced further depending on the market.

There are definitely commissions but the amount is not high. Anyway you have to buy from agent.

the benefits and features of the AXA shield and the Prushield are very similar for private plans. Any reasons to switch from PruShield Premier A to AXA Shield Plan A?
