To be honest, I heard about this person before hand, which this lady just spoil the whole family( have kids age from 1-9years old) trip too, she literally cancel the room as she doesn’t feel like renting her room after she change her minds very last minute. And causes the whole family trip spoil and make them panicked to book a new hotel room for a group of people, which have young and old. And the refund was delayed as well.

I’m a traveller that loves staying in Airbnb as most of the owner is very friendly and helpful and of course won’t disturb me after the stay regarding what rating and review I had gave to them.

This person is quite ridiculous as I feel everyone get to rate what they want and to review their stay and comments. Everyone wants to know the good and the bad of the place they wanted to rent as well. Isn’t it? If all of us just written all the pro and not the cons so what’s the point of reviewing it at all.

Overall I just feel that you shouldn’t pester and keep on troubling your guest regardless of what review the person had gave.

Well this is abit of ranting post but also a post for us Singaporean to beware of when booking accommodation.

Just last week I went Japan with my friend, during our last 3day we stayed at this place called the Kyoto Kaikan which we found in Booking.com.
The overall rating for it was great so we decided to book it, when we went there the place was clean and the owner was nice.

However the nightmare came after we posted our review.
So we actually give a pretty good rating which is 10 out of 10 and the review we wrote is all praising how good her place was.

But during the review, there's some small review like how is coffee etc.
So for the coffee section we give a low rating but it wasn't reflected at the overall review.

So that's where she messaged us using the Booking app saying this
"才發現你咖啡給最低,不是說了嗎?我們沒提供咖啡,咖啡是我的,你愛喝我願意分享你不愛就不要喝,怎麽跟上次新加坡客人一樣啊!下次不給新加坡客人喝咖啡了".
Translate:
Just discovered that you give a low rating for the coffee, didn't I say before we do not provide coffee and the coffee is mine. If you love to drink I am willing to share if you don't then don't drink it. Why are you the same as the previous Singaporean customer! Next time I will not offer coffee to Singaporean customer.

The thing that pisses me off is due to something so small she message us and in such a lousy attitude. It seems like all Singaporean have offended her due to the rating we give for her coffee. :s8:

Just my 2cents, do try to avoid her place or if you do stay in her place just beware of her attitude maybe she won't offer coffee to you.

In Airbnb her user name is Tammy.

Beefsteak hit the nail on the head. Unless you are staying in a hostel or no star hotel then of course room service is not available.
Business hotel chains normally no room service, no? I stayed APA hotel last trip, definitely don't have, no idea about the other chains. Peasant can't afford to book into Hilton, Mandarin Oriental, all those full service hotels 😬

Nah is not I specifically review bad on her coffee. Is just booking have a small review like 1-5 how you think about their coffee and there's no option to not review on it. Somehow I give a rating of 2/3 can't really remember. But this rating doesn't show up in the overall rating.

Funny, why ask about coffee? What if traveler doesn't drink coffee? :s11:

Actually, isn't travelling all about managing expectations? After all, the lodgings we stay at are just temporary lodgings and nothing like our own home comforts. Bad coffee.....you know there's a reason why some people pack their own coffee on trips. For such a small thing, ts gave a bad review, albeit he was just answering a question on the submission template. But still....sigh, singaporeans really complain alot.

suspicious posting from 2 very new accounts

also, using AirBnB is always a risk. I would only use it if I am very familiar with the city and my stay is over 14 days long at the least.

also being respectful and understanding that you are not staying at a hotel/motel/hostel is very important. Especially in Japan where most mansion buildings have a lot of rules (both spoken & unspoken)

getting complaints from neighbors is the last thing a host/manager wants to deal with. I know of buildings who will move to evict a tenant if they are found to be operating as AirBnB hosts.

https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2...odging-minpaku-law-takes-effect/#.WorbLcpLSf0

The prefectural capital of Kyoto, a government ordinance-designated city, will not be subject to the ordinance but plans itself to limit minpaku services to only January and February. Similar restrictions will be set in municipalities around the ancient city, which attracts scores of tourists.

Kyoto going to restrict such housing to only Jan and Feb! I never have any problem securing hotels in Kyoto even in peak period Sakura and Koyo season. As Long as you book way earlier. But then in Tokyo, I got difficulties securing my preferred hotel.

TS what u just did is equivalent to someone who rate their uber/grab drivers badly because of something insignificant.

For eg u take grab/uber, ur phone running out of batt, u requested the driver to provide u with a charging cable. He gave u one, throughout the entire trip he was nice, friendly, and helpful. U gave him a 5 star rating, but then because the charging was slow, u go and put in comment saying the charging from his car sucks. Anyone in the right frame of mind will be scolding u after that. Instead of being thankful for providing coffee which wasnt a requirement, u go slam her coffee quality
