It is mostly rupiah for the little places. Sometimes they may quote USD, but you can ask for the underlying rupiah rate. I did not have to use USD at all.

on this USD / Rupiah topic.... b4 i went, i tot USD is more preferred. But over there, i realised all places accept rupiah with some preferring rupiah and only some places accepting USD (plus usually with the stated exchanged rate which is usually poorer than what we could have gotten locally)

so..... just bring enough rupiah and some usd in case you overspend on your rupiah

some questionss...

hi bros!
im planning for my family trip to Bali for 4D3N, and we're staying in Nusa Dua. SUPER looking forward to white water rafting! We're going for the one in Ayung River :DDD anyways, i have some questions to ask.

1) Am planning to head over to Uluwatu for their Kecak dance and enjoy the sunset. Any idea what time we have to be there and do we have to book before going?
lol, found out that the entrance cost is approx S$10.. and it's just a group of men singing ke-cak ke-cak repeatedly. Worth going?

2) Has anyone been to Bali Collection (shopping mall )in Nusa Dua? we'd like to shop for clothes, is it worth going?

3) What activities can we do in Nusa Dua Beach?

4) Any good and affordable spas around Ubud and Nusa Dua area? what kind of spas do you recommend?

5) Good food around semniyak?

TIA! =:p

Hi,

I often uses Agoda to book my hotels too.
If I am not wrong, it's credited into your credit bill already.

Just print out the confirmation letter from agoda and use it to check in at the hotel.

Unless you have to cancel, it should have been credited into your credit card.

bali safest driver

Hi,

I am going to Bali in December for the first time. (mountain Tortoise here)

I have some queries. Hope some Bali experts can help.

1) I read somewhere about the taxi at the airport but it wasn't very clear. Can someone enlighten me? What is the safest and wun kena carrot head method to take taxi from airport? How much would it cost to take from airport to the Legian area?

2) The main shopping belt at Kuta. How big is it exactly? Orchard road size? What is there to buy and do there? Is there anything apart from wooden handicrafts and cultural things to buy?

3) Anyone has stayed in The island Hotel or The Grand Akhyati? Any reviews and comments?

4) What are the must see and must do things in Bali apart from the beach?

5) Any makan recommendations? Seafood? I heard the Jim----- (dunno how to spell) is like boat quay. Chop Tourists place. Any other places to recommend?

Will really appreciate some help.

Hi I am balinese and been work at taxi airport for one month. what I can suggest you is to go dirrectly to taxi counter and normally they already have a fix price for every superb like to go to legian will cost IDR 60.000
