Expedia charged the combined pricing separately this year so it was clear that the air fares would have been same as booking direct from Thai Airways.

I happened to make an reservation for the same room and same period under pay later to pay at hotel so it was easy to do the maths. The savings in the hotel room was about $100 for 5 nights and this has yet to take into consideration that THB strengthens against the SGD after my booking.

This year, I travelled 5 nights during the CNY period so everything is more ex than usual but the deal was most worth it for me.

Going by the calculation I shared above, you can mix and match to see what suit your preference. Expedia seems to have partnership with Amari Watergate. Promo code not eligible for hotel only booking but the prices are already lower than Agoda with promo codes and it is still Pay Later. I ended up booking with air tickets to save more else I could have tried asking Amari Watergate to match it.

below $100 for budget airline
Some of my bookings are Fri to Mon or Thu to Sun ...

Jul to Mar, dec school holidays also .... Fri go sun back, for most timings ...
$93 taxes in ... price was there for 16 hours or so ...

take taxi if you want convenient ...
about 400+b perhaps

if u taking airport rail, you would alight at rajprarop station
then walk 650m or about 10min walk to novotel platinum ...

or u can change from airport rail to bts, then alight at bts chitlom
then walk about 800m to novotel platinum ...

If big luggage, take taxi.
If small luggage/ backpack, ARL alight at Ratchaprarop station or ARL to BTS + walk.

From Chit lom bts station walk to Novotel, need to pass through gayson which need to go up and down. Troublesome for big luggage but still possible.

moi agree...novotel platinium is like abit not 3 not 4 the location bt once u reach mani mani tings to jalan....bt nw got skywalk liao so is gd....juz tat need to cut gayson abit hard for luggage....n gayson so quiet de....u wheel luggage kok kok kok abit soooo embarrassing lar...if can juz taxi bah...but prepare 2 jam abit so rem 2 go shee shee b4 u board taxi orh....

Now the thai got invent a problem for jam use, look like trash bag cover full body. So no one will know

BTS Chitlom to Novotel Platinum is only 800m? I felt it was way longer and have always dreaded walking to the BTS from Pratunam area.

For a beginner going to Bangkok , some would go to Pratunam , Platinum Mall, Mbk, Siam Paragon etc ... They would tend to stay at Pratunam area ...

When u go there often, you might want to venture to other places ...

Even as a beginner I didn’t really fancy platinum or pratunam area. Usually would go more to siam sq paragon etc.

Slowly I just going to central mall in neighbourhood area where I stay.

For a beginner going to Bangkok , some would go to Pratunam , Platinum Mall, Mbk, Siam Paragon etc ... They would tend to stay at Pratunam area ...
