My previous trip hotel help me to call for a taxi and i said must meter. But when go up the taxi, the driver say no meter and fix rate. I forget how much he charged me though.

Lesson leaen can le. If doesn't want to on you can go get down no need to take. About ten years ago I went to Chinatown with my family nearby Siam taxi charge us 300baht we okay since 5person . When we back take taxi with meter only less then 150baht if not wrong..

Same as my hotel during my last trip, fix rate is slightly more, if you convert to sgd, it's very little only. Going airport ok, but if daily taxi, I will decline fix rate unless there is no choice.

btw, Chinatown night time what food recommendations beside T&K? Want to go eat Bird nest and Sharks fin too.

I only like day time Chinatown, night time there are many other places for good meal.

3 adult 3 kids what is the best way n cheaper way to take from airport to hotel ? Their taxi got 7 seaters ?

Book van better. I don't recommend to squeeze 3 people at the back of the taxi. Max I feel 6 pax for taxi is just nice.

Would advise you to book your own driver ...
Friends have taken their bigger taxi , toyota innova.
by meter is already 700+ to 850+ already ....

Tripadvisor have few drivers offering you 700b inclusive of toll charges
but might be squeezy for you if u have few luggages ...
booking a van would be good, usually they offer about 1000+b one way ///

alternatively, u can take two normal taxi, should be around 350 to 450b one way ...
but some taxi boot very small, hence, you might not be able to fit in few luggages

Yup agree ... infront 1 pax + 1 driver
middle - 3 pax
back - 1 pax + luggages ...
normally would best fit if u have 5 pax ...
if u have 6 pax might be quite squeezy already ...

Taxi 7 seaters can sit 6 ppl but boot too small to put in all your luggage. Take minivan better. Compare price before you book, Klook got limitation.

yup agree ... always try not to book with klook if u have many luggages ...
They always limit the number of baggage you can bring along ....

For example, normal sedan car is 2x 24luggage . if 28" is considered as 2 luggages. if you have less 1 pax, you can treat as 1 luggage space ...

Thanks for all reply. So cost is still around 800-900b. So guess book Klook around $41 is still ok. (Around 950b). $41 is for the 10 seater van.

Sometimes book normal grab car also quite long liao plus they will cancel. If advance booking for minivan I don't know if they will tua the passenger or not
