My advice is if I would get a wifi egg if I will be spending lots of time in hotel room streaming videos/movies. Sometimes the travel data just isnt enough for heavy user.

you can buy a thai sim card at Q10 website or register for one at Thailand airport, very cheap also.

Usually i buy from Q10 website, sometimes inside the airplane also sell. I saw when taking Airasia

Ya. Now Thai SIM only $5 or $5.50 in changi recommend.

Very worth it actually. Cheaper than data travel.

But ts scare lost SIM card the data travel is the better option Liao.

Not really. I usually get back to the hotel late after dinner outside, and I don't sleep early. It's nice to have some ipad entertainment on for a while. I don't watch hotel tv channels. Last year I was traipsing through small towns in Tohoku region where town shuts down after sun down, was glad I had my own wifi.

Okay. I usually will just load shows into tablet. No need to stream and no need data. Can watch anywhere. No restrictions.
