Another tiong headphones brand worth considering is soundmagic.

tested momentum 4 at tk foto funan level 3. updated the firmware in the shop & listened for 30mins. bass was good. it's there when it's supposed to be there. not boosted. but for the price, i rather have ugreen. ugreen's bass is not as good as Sennheiser but u can boost it. momentum 4's performance & comfort is quite similar to sony xm5, although i disliked sennheiser's touch interface on the ear cup back

the ear cup inner diameter is around 3cm. too small. probably made for kindergarten kids. i wasn't able to connect via Bluetooth to xiaomi 14 ultra so couldn't test it

Ok, I didn’t test, but my boy said that the sound for the Ugreen headphones is not as good as his creative odyssey earbuds.

imho, earbuds is a different animal.

it's like comparing closed and open back headphones, sounds different

i tried hifiman susvara unveiled which is open back planar driver. deep bass is lacking. sounds good but not worth the money. no ANC so background noise is there

At the end of the day, the premium paid for the established brands' products are somewhat justified.
He is doing a blind test since he doesn’t know the prices.

Anyway, my budget IEMs sound really good. Better than most that I bought. I only prefer my Grados. So price wise not really a good gauge.

Ya BW started a budget IEM fan club :)

Edit: Many budget IEMs can match the Grado signature...if hoot Grado's own IEMs will be expensive :)

So far I find the budget IEMs that favour mids and high ish very similar to Grados...no wonder u like them :) me find Moondrop SSR very close to Grado sound :)

I started trying out budget IEMs during COVID period I think. Like most, I started with KZ ZS Pro, which I dislike coz of the plastic feel and the fit, which is not ideal. Sound is good though.
I got some others, think still in box, might have a KZ ZS Pro X. I did open the BLON BL-03 which has become my favorite. I would recommend this. Sound is fantastic. Metal feel. It’s an excellent fit for me.
