Better temps from new Nvidia driver

As above. I just downloaded the new nvidia driver for the witcher 3 and I'm getting better temps while playing GTA 5. Usually it would hover around 78-80C but now its about 69-72C. No changes to settings whatsoever. Anyone else experiencing this?

He's trying to say raining = cooler ambient temps = lower gpu temps

Think he means ambient temp is lower since its a rainy day hence lower temp. Any idea when amd driver for witcher 3 will come?

yeah i know what he's trying to say but can ambient results in so much reduction in temps? when i turn on my AC and my ambient is 22C , still about 76-78C. and it was raining the whole of yesterday too but no difference.

was thinking maybe gta was further optimized but did not notice any updates or patch downloads. im just reporting what im seeing. any other possible explanations?

You should test it across a normal day to see if it holds true. Tropical temps and humidity varies a lot. Sometimes measuring temp just of boot also gives u a better temp.

I don't really think drivers can affect temps so much leh.

hmm but i really doubt it's because of ambient. like i said i on AC to 22C also never record so drastic reduction of temps. maybe i'll run valley see if got difference or not.

I go test on my FC4 at 4k with max Gameworks settings, AA and Ultra. Keep u updated.

Still hovering at 64-67deg on my 970 G.E

Still 72 degrees for me on FC4 full load. lol Drivers won't give 10 degree adv.
I think you measured your temps from cold boot?

no leh.. i played for about an hour than looked up and realised my temps are hovering at 70C. Oh well i think im gonna just go the 'ignorance is bliss' route . Get good temps out of a sudden so cannot jinx it.

Or did it reset some of your 3D settings like AA when u set it to override mode?

i went through my settings and it's exactly the same. gpu usage also the same at 98%. i'm sure something changed cause it won't just shave off temps like that.

the new drivers cause my surround to be screwed so badly. windows became damn laggy and must uninstall all geforce drivers to remove surround. damn mafan sia. can use back an older driver anot?
