Hi out to all fellow HWZ traveller.

I would like to express and share my enormous disappointment booking a flight with Scoot yesterday. As advertised by Scoot yesterday, we were allowed a 15% off on all return FlyEat option. As I was flying to Taipei, that work out to be a savings of $20 for my baggage option.

To my horror, upon checking out, I realised that Scoot has INTENTIONALLY left out payment by Singpost to make it MANDATORY for customers using Promo code to check out only by credit card. Incurring an exorbitant S$9 PER WAY (mind you, not per round trip) PER TICKET (mind you, not a single payment).

No second guess about Scoot intention to purposely leave out the option to make payment by Singpost as it will incur no processing fee. However what perturbed me is the disgusting high cost for its credit card processing fee.

I have made a booking for 4 to Taipei and that work out to be S$72 for credit card processing fee.

On this note I would like to remind all potential Scoot customers about this new credit card payment scheme by Scoot.

Hope you guys can be reminded about Scoot new mandatory credit card processing fee.

Thanks.

Scoot promo prices need to pay credit card fees.
When you purchase their tickets when they having promo, you will have to pay the 18 cc fees at the end :) Is the norm, ever since early this year they implemented :)

Other budget airline also need pay 18 cc fees. So is the norm since 5 yrs back :)
Just now some airlines have offline payment and can skip the cc fees.

I am sure that credit card processing fee existed all this while.

However I am very sure that compulsory payment by credit card isn't how it all begin. Credit card processing fee is $18, but it's for the whole booking instead of by per ticket.

the credit card fee has been imposed since years ago for each trip leg for each passenger. so take it or leave it and fly with full service airline.

Even for other budget airline, now you have to pay cash / debit at singpost (no longer accepting CC for ticket reservation payment like that of early of this year). But still that's better than paying the convinience fee for paying with CC.

Do take note Jetstar Asia no longer allows CC payment via vbox.com.sg, only eNets debit. Another one bites the dust....

Paiseh to correct you, is for per person per sector :)
Only tiger allows u to pay via axs, 5sgd per entire booking, not per person per sector ;)

you can only offline payment if your flight departure date is at least 14 days from the time you make your bookings :)

AND if the fare is not promotional, otherwise as I understand, CC is the only option for payment.

Does anybody know if cash is accepted a payment for scoot? If yes, where one should go?

it make sense totally to limit payment to CC during promotional fares. There are kiasu aunties i know who will book a few flights at a shot to the same ******* destination and see when their husband are free before they decide to take only one of them.

I really do not find scoots fares anywhere reasonable. Once you add taxes and fees to their $10 fare to Bangkok, it comes to $100. No, thanks!

I agree, the good days of cheap fares are gone ever since they added fuel surcharges around the beginning of the year. But I guess their service is better than the other budget airlines? I don't know, I've only taken their flight from SIN-TSN roundtrip end of last year. There was a nice flight attendant called Tina on that flight, wonder if she still works for Scoot.

yup agree, most airline have fuel surcharges already.
for example if scoot bangkok price is 0 fare, the price with taxes and cc fees is 104. jetstar is around 104 exclude cc fees, but can use offline payment.
scoot seats are better, coz if flight almost full, can ask for stretch seats or premium seats lol :)

is the norm already. air asia if fare is 0, also 100+, jetstar if fare is 0, also 104, scoot if fare is 0, also 104 lol ... only left with tiger taxes is 60+
