they are having a promotion now. Until Sunday. Buy 1 free 1. Must pay by UOB card though. Since paying by UOB is a must, so no choice, have to pay the CC processing free. Each sector is $9. So to-fro comes up to $18

Hi out to all fellow HWZ traveller.

I would like to express and share my enormous disappointment booking a flight with Scoot yesterday. As advertised by Scoot yesterday, we were allowed a 15% off on all return FlyEat option. As I was flying to Taipei, that work out to be a savings of $20 for my baggage option.

To my horror, upon checking out, I realised that Scoot has INTENTIONALLY left out payment by Singpost to make it MANDATORY for customers using Promo code to check out only by credit card. Incurring an exorbitant S$9 PER WAY (mind you, not per round trip) PER TICKET (mind you, not a single payment).

No second guess about Scoot intention to purposely leave out the option to make payment by Singpost as it will incur no processing fee. However what perturbed me is the disgusting high cost for its credit card processing fee.

I have made a booking for 4 to Taipei and that work out to be S$72 for credit card processing fee.

On this note I would like to remind all potential Scoot customers about this new credit card payment scheme by Scoot.

Hope you guys can be reminded about Scoot new mandatory credit card processing fee.

Yes, I am always very disappointed with this kind of charger. In fact, the chargers should be per transection vs per passenger as we are not doing 4 separate payment.

For scoot promo, all must be paid using credit card or voucher if not wrong ...

once you select credit card to make payment, the cc fees normally would come out Only tiger allow axs payment which is 5sgd per booking. jetstar have offline payment too, can pay at sam or 711 for a fee ....

Pay Scoot using voucher

For scoot promo, all must be paid using credit card or voucher if not wrong ...

Why not your guys buy scoot vouchers before make payment? Payment by voucher has no extra charge. But biggest voucher value is $500, you may has to split you purchase make each payment less than $500 and purchase exact value of voucher before make payment for the ticket.

I have made a payment and then realised I was charged extra $40 (for 2 passengers) at the page that I was required to input the OTP password to proceed with payment. Called up Scoot and was told that was the processing fee for credit card payment. This is my first time booking Scoot air tickets and hence was shocked to see the extra $40 charged to my credit card.

Previously I travelled with Tiger Airways, their processing fees were disclosed. What I see on payment page will be what is charged to my credit card. It is quite different from Scoot. So I did another attempt to book Scoot air tickets up till the page where I have to input the credit card details. Even then, the processing fees still showed as $0.

I think Scoot should at least disclose every amount to the passengers instead of suddenly charging extra for the processing fee at the page whereby we are to key in the OTP password. At that point in time, it would leave the payer lost as to whether to proceed with payment or ignore the booking.

such "drip pricing" tactics are outlawed in Australia

of course, Scoot being Scoot, they will not do anything.

write to CASE or ST Forum, even if nothing changes, at least create awareness

Long time no fly scoot already ...
perhaps about 2 yrs ...

they would always auto allocate seats etc for u
you have to open eyes big big and be alert
you have the option to not select the seats ...

if u have booked airline ticket often, you would have noticed that all credit card payment on budget airline, such as jetstar, tiger, scoot, airasia ...
all requires credit card convenience fees ...
amt is about 18 to 20sgd depending on which airline u r flying

say if my booking has 2 tickets ... on checkin at counter, they have to assign seats that are together right ? and not assign 2 separate seat ??

they have the rights to allocate separate seats
normally they would usually put 2seats together ...
unless the flight is quite full, and most seats left are 1 everywhere ...
this seldom happens .... be sure to checked in early ...

Low cost carrier using navitaire which auto assign the seat one day before departure so should you not purchase the seat and if flight full then even chk in early also no use Unless ground staff is willing to help
