MacPherson area those landed are very small land area, some are like 1200 sq ft land which is smaller than a HDB EA. New owners build upwards to 3, 3.5 storeys to maximize floor space. Becomes almost like a townhouse lol

Think nowadays many if not most is maximise the build up area one. Don't have the lay back landed feel liao.

Last time housing think typical is have garden in front and behind for buffer. But nowadays many is build up all the way to the front, eat into the garden space. Behind probably don't have that small plot of green liao also.

Can't help wonder, they don't feel noisy and lack of privacy meh. The house so close to the road and neighbours.

And think some is no use much thinking one. Build to the max close to the edge and road, and still like to do full length windows whole house. Especially ground floor. The inside of their house can be easily seen from outside and the road.

End up is afraid become zoo animal let people see inside. So, go cover up with curtain most, if not all the time. For privacy issue. Might as well don't do windows.

Yes. Mine is about $1500 a month. Fair bit bigger than this one tho..

Just curious, landed can build underground space or not? Is it included in the build up limit?

Always wonder how people accomodate parking for their landed. Cause traditional way simply is not enough. Was wondering can do those modern automated tower parking structure type or not.

Want to build basement need to check the sewer plan. The answer tho is generally yes. That’s how I built 5 floors in a 2.5 area. b1 and b2 lol.

Downside to basement is water and waste management, and if you go so deep you need HVAC, that is something that needs to be BCA certified annually.

As long as you dig deep enough, the basement can be built right up to the property limit. That means you can build bigger underground than you can above ground - which needs to comply with boundary setbacks.
