bitlocker recovery issue

1. Dad logs in to pc with admin acct

2. Dad adds your user account into administrator group
(You dont know his password, he dont know your password.)

3. You got admin rights to decrypt your drive.
(Manage-bde -off)

4. Dad removes you from administrator group.

hi there! that was a brilliant suggestion but then it has to be done during the process of 'repairing' your os. which then again leads to prompting for bitlocker recovery password...

i thought your dad has admin rights. using his account you can extract the recovery key or decrypt.

are you trying to retrieve data or experiment?


attacks with physical access would be different you can login as your account. use an exploit to elevate your rights to system/admin then do what you need to. how its done. sorry i also dunno how to teach.

hi. yes my dad has it. im doing this for experiment. anw thanks for your suggestion. tried and most in fact all methods fail except ask my dad to login...
