For those coming to Bangkok next week. Can try the Boat Noodles if you have some time. I did not find it that great but maybe it's just me as the place was crowded. Information in travel blog : www dot AsiaDashi dot com.

Cheers

been having boat noodles (kuay teow reau) every time i'm in bangkok for years. the tasty thick rich broth with salted cow blood may not bode well with tourists but it's sure comfort food for many :)

best i tasted was in ayuthaya

that's what i read. the broth suppose to be from beef bones. but of coz victory monument boat noodles now comes with various kind of broth, perhaps to cater for tourists.

this was elsewhere near victory monument (seems only frequented by locals). broth should be very dark, though this was still not quite intense as ones i had in ayuthaya

Cow blood. Cannot take beef because pray. Lol. But anyway they have either pig blood or cow blood. Depending on stall.
