Was just rereading the T&Cs. The interest for the bonuses are calculated on the monthly averages. So, for those interested in opening an account, better do it quickly. My projected month end balance of 60k turn out to be an average of 47k only for November.

haha. but all banks calculate the interest based on ADB lah. otherwsie all got bankrupted.

BTW, anyone know if BOC has the FAST to tansfer in and out the fund?

I read BOC has a note to say yes, but somehow I can't use FAST to transfer fund from SCB to BOC and vice versa.

If I'm not wrong the monthly average will take in consideration the pro rated number of days the account has been opened.

My chrome works. You need an add-on to make it work. However the add-on givrn by the BOC Singapore website only supports IE. I just downloaded from BOC mainland China website and it supports Chrome.

Under Menu: "Debit Card Service" - Debit Card Management - Add your debit card, then Re-logon "Debit Card Service" - Transaction Limit Setting.

BOC functions are quite comprehensive, but not so user-friendly where u have to add account and re-logon in order to use.

We can also set the SMS alert to $1 and enable oversea withdraw, as well as enable/disable the paper billing under the "Debit Card Service" menu.

Seems like Users with newer Chrome likely will notice NPAPI Plugin not supported.
Google had disabled NPAPI Plugin from 1 Sept 2015.

Yeah. I called their call centre, they asked me to go down to the branch to relink the token to fix the issue. I tried to relink myself and get an error too.

I am unable to login with the default password given by BOC... the wording on the paper are too blurry and after trying 5 times still unable to login.

called the boc hotline somehow cso is like from china and unable to assist only way is to go down to branch.. anyone also encounter similar issue?

the internet banking also unable to load properly with mac... seems like only windows systems can use... no mobile platform to login as well...

anyone else also think their systems quite back dated as well?

If you really cannot read the default password suggest that you go to the bank.

If you had entered the password 5 times wrongly, you can only retry after 0000hrs.

I tried on mine. I enter userid wrong, they say wrong id.

I tried using token wrong, they say token error

So I do not know how to make the Security Mismatch dialogue out. Sorry, tried my best, but dont know how. If only I can make the same dialogue out, it might be easier to pin point the error

ohoh, this system has bad security design for userid/password login, if hackers read this, they will be able to hack into your account, luckily they added another level of login ie token which should stop the hackers, hahaha

What if I have existing funds which have been earmarked in BOC MCS?

Bonus interest rates in BOC SmartSaver are not applicable to existing funds that have been earmarked in the BOC MCS account for any other promotions or other purposes. And for those who want to use this MCS for other currency, please note that every FCY sub-account need to be activated by putting some funds inside. I activated the RMB sub-account by changing some of my SGD to RMB so that later you can convert online whenever you want.

There is no administration fees for currency exchange. and also for depositing RMB cash until end of the year. I am already at the branch when the lady told me so just convert SGD50 on the spot. Exchange rate is same as XE rate, the best you can get at money changer is 0.5% more which is 25c in my case. Not worth the effort lah.

It's on their website, go and search properly. I remember clicking on the link from smartsaver page. Something like $20 + 1/8 % of the amount, similar to other bank. Only their RMB remittance is currently free.
